I daren't go into Wilk0s as I end up spending a fortune on all the essential items they have. Same in home bargains :o

I know MiT - always something essential on offer too. I kept away from the cleaning/kitchen roll aisle though as that would be my downfall :D. I saw Flash liquid 2L on offer at £2 and was tempted to get one, but I've still got some of the stock from around Christmas left - am being more frugal with the amount these days. :D

I saw a lovely big metal gardening toolbox at £10.50 and am wondering whether to ask someone in the family to buy me one and put away for Christmas :rotfl: It is a want rather than a need so couldn't justify buying myself, though my gardening bits are mixed up with decorating bits and it'd be nice for them to be separated out. *Wanders off to phone DB* :rotfl:

Sounds like some great bargains. But I'm like MIT and don't have a stop button. I went overboard in Lidl and Tescos yesterday :o

I have a semi-stop one - otherwise I might have bought all 20 cans of shave gel :rotfl: I always seem to buy 2 of everything in there though, which is perhaps even odder :o

The hedge is trimmed all over :j:j:j Hang the flags out!

    Financials:
    - bank account checked - use and pay off monthly CC payment goes out tomorrow
    - freepostcodelottery (both) - checked
    - Nectar adpoints - ending the week on 75
    - Nectar Search - up at 40/100
    - Inbox Pounds - up at £7.03
    - Qmee - another 10p - now £1.85 in the pot

I've cycled 12km/7 miles in one go tonight. :T My backside aches :rotfl: Not sure if that's the hard seat or my muscles working :rotfl:

Lovely roast beef dinner which didn't shrink much, so plenty left over for tomorrow and Tuesday I reckon. Burnt 200 calories on the bike so that's the roast pots not gone to the hips I hope! :D

Ironing done, not that there was much and everything ready for DS for school.

I'm working at home with nothing billable tomorrow, but the rest of the week is, so I haven't caught up on work stuff tonight. Half watching the World Cup final.

Must Do's tomorrow - phone dentist and visit Mum (likely evening). Hopefully I am catching up a bit, as it feels never ending at the moment. Either that or I'm just a bit more anxious than normal but not able to put my finger on the what or why. I could do with a week off at home to crack on with some of the bigger sorting out jobs. I might try to do that in August, but will see how work pans out first before I commit. :)

Yayy, well done for the hedge. :T:T:T

    And for the cycling.

You always seem so busy and achieving so much. Hope you manage to get a break in. We normally go away for about 12 days and it's only about 6 days in that I truly relax. Not going away this year so need to find another way to achieve that. Perhaps I could finally get my house in order :o

  • I always get antsy about billable hours over the summer even though it generally works out. Just hold your nerve and you'll be fine.

I have a shed too and DH made me a huge log store (out of free pallets - but he then went and spent about £100 on bits to put it together - it's huge).

I really wanted a canvas tool bag. My BIL has one, but they are quite dear. :(
