The march to financial freedom

A mixed up Saturday today - bit of housey stuff, bit of work stuff, bit of going out social stuff and bit of DFW stuff. A balance for a change
Financials:
- bank account checked
- freepostcodelottery (both) - checked
- Nectar adpoints - no change on 51
- Nectar Canvass - thrown out of that
- Nectar card - no change at £68.62
- Inbox Pounds - up a tiny bit to £3.46. Cheque not arrived, must come Monday then.
- Qmee - another 11p picked up
Elec and gas meters read - we are running consistently a little bit higher on electric again, which is odd given the light nights. I think gadget charging might be responsible of late.
Got given some homegrown strawberries today, so we'll be having those shortly. Had a batched cook chilli for dinner and a free lunch, so quite a cheap day.
Would be a NSD, but I spent £2 buying a lottery ticket  An infrequent purchase, but itchy palm is coming into money isn't it? Either that or it's dry skin playing up :rotfl:
Depressing thought for today - it's midsummer's day and the longest amount of daylight - so now the nights will start drawing in. I always say we'll make the most of the light evenings, but ultimately never do. Need to change that somehow.
Hope everyone has had a good dayBack on the DFW Wagon:

CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019

Sounds like you had a fairly productive day. I hadn't thought about the nights drawing in!
we are having fab weather at moment, long may it continue and no rain please.

What another gorgeous day and not going to worry about the nights drawing in just yet
Must check that lottery ticket too - I usually forget I've got one and come across it several weeks later!
We've not done an awful lot today - missed the car boot sale window with being out yesterday and not prepared which is ashame, but another day will come along.
Financials then:
- bank account checked
- freepostcodelottery (both) checked
- Nectar adpoints - looks like the week ends on 51 pts
- Nectar Canvass - not right another 2 surveys
- Nectar card - no movement there either
- Inbox Pounds - up at £3.79
- Qmee - another 10p there today
A No Spend Day which is always good, another birthday card posted and I must crack on with the early July birthday sorting this week, as we are away next weekend.
The finances look in pretty good shape. It's pay myself day end of next week (might do that Thursday as taking Friday off) and it looks like I'll be able to pay myself an average month and also leave the £300 in the business account to bring the tax in line.
GPs first thing in the morning followed by a billable work day is the plan for tomorrow.
Hope everyone has enjoyed the weather today.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Beautiful hot day again. Almost wish I'd taken the week off. But the cash will last longer ().
Shame about the car boot, but sometimes the buyers either stay away or are too hot to buy in the scorching weather, so don't feel too bad.
Nice to hear your finances are buoyant. You are my example to follow.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Evening all
Late night quickie update - really busy work day and all good.
GP prescription from this morning to change - aiming at the sinuses first, but if no improvement when I see optician again on 5th July, then to refer me back to hospital again. So a spend there.
Done very little on the financials except check bank account and the postman delivered the Inbox Pounds cheque for £20.01, so I'll get that banked this week and transfer that promised £24 to the CC.
Picked up 5p on Qmee tonight looking for something related to work, so that was a nice little bonus.
Loving this weather, though DS has decided he needs a fan on all night - so that's going to increase the electricity usage! Always something :rotfl:
Must hit bed! Hope everyone has had a good day and I'll catch up on diaries and Nectar adpoints etc later on tomorrow.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Another full on day and little time for the little bits of points and money earning. Still, work was busy, prescription changed, tea bags bought as I ran out at breakfast time  IP cheque banked and food shop done tonight.
Financials:
- bank account checked and £24 set up to go to the CC tomorrow now I've paid the IP cheque in
- freepostcodelottery (both) checked
- Nectar - not looked at anything on there again today
- Inbox Pounds - up a little at £3.97
- Qmee - another 5p and there's 90p in the pot at the moment ready for transfer to PP.
Food shop was over budget at £24.50 - of which £6.04 is for items to take with us for the weekend - juice, croissants, cans of drink, bottled water, crisps, fruit. Will be cheaper than buying everything at the event each day - a cup of coffee in there is £3
I spent £8.05 on the prescription charge and a further £2.35 on teabags and tomato sauce in Sbugs.
Need to spend the next couple of eves getting prepared - the weather doesn't look good either, so wet weather and summer stuff will be packed!
Work should be slightly less manic tomorrow and Thursday, but I still have half days of client facing. More is slowly trickling in for July which is great news.
Not managed to catch a glimpse of the Wimbledon action either, but did watch some of the England match over dinner.
Hope everyone has had a good day - weather has broken here tonight with some rain. On the upside, the water butt needs it!Back on the DFW Wagon:

Another £24 off the CC today and sig updated :j
July budget will see another £500 off when statement lands on the 3rd.
Mortgage capital payment is set for £806 on 1st July - odd number I know, but brings Part II of the mortgage to a round figure
Part I sits at £25,944 - started out 31/12/13 £27,345

Another busy day, but am getting back on track with things I need to do - except Nectar. Not feeling the love for that at the moment
Sorted July birthdays - 10 of them , 7 for posting , 2 with cheques in , 2 with money in  and 1 I need to sort with a present of Euros. So much for thinking it was a quiet month :rotfl:
Financials:
- bank account checked
- freepostcodelottery (both) - checked
- Inbox Pounds - up at £4.22 - there are alot of tasks I could do and 8 surveys to try for
- Qmee - nothing today as yet
I've half trimmed the hedge - battery on cordless trimmer ran out, so that looks interesting :rotfl: I'll finish that tomorrow night.
Some washing done and that's on the line drying. Tickets and hotel confirmation printed off. Getting there slowly towards packing tomorrow evening, though could be a mad last minute thing as I need to wrap up work, do business banking, pay myself and make sure I'm sorted for Monday as have an early meeting
Ooh had a delivery of a test product too - not only saving myself a good £12 on not having to buy, but they'll be 2 follow up surveys as well. Not sure if Nectar or IP though - they'll pop up so I don't miss them.
That's all the news from here at the moment... still with eye problem - sure it's a case of one eye is struggling to reach the mid focal point. I have previous form with it so opticians here I come I'm quite sure!Back on the DFW Wagon:

Evening folks,
End of the working week for me and month too, so business financials all done and I've paid myself as well. Really pleased, as after leaving extra in the business account to balance the tax, I still paid myself slightly over an average month. :j
I've also budgeted a bit more to the CC for July at £530.
Financials:
- bank account checked - more than once :rotfl:
- freepostcodelottery (both) - checked
- Nectar adpoints - watched all the available ads and on 67 pts
- Nectar Canvass - to look at
- Nectar card - up at £68.92
- Inbox Pounds - up at £4.46
- Qmee - another 5p added
Lots of housey bits completed in advance of departure tomorrow - 2 more washing loads done, line dried and the few bits that need it ironed, bins all emptied, dishwasher should be finishing shortly.
Still a fair bit to do on the packing side - will do that in the morning. Weather is looking dreadful for travel with heavy rain and a Met Office Yellow warning in place, so will check on that in the morning and decide the best time to set off. May even leave it until later in the day once the worst is due to have cleared.
Doglets to be dropped off @ 9am locally first and I've a few work emails I want to send which will get me ahead for next week.
Had a bizarre letter from Ll0yds about Club Ll0yds saying I wasn't paying enough in for the £5 fee to be waived - cue a phone call to clarify - seems some of these have been sent out in error, but I registered a complaint anyway about a poorly written letter, lack of clarity within and the fact they're sending them past the cooling off period when it'd be too late to go back to my old account (which they've stopped offering anyway). I am looking forward to a decent amount of interest next week.
Tax bill arrived today too, so that'll be paid in full and on time.
Posted the first of the July birthday cards and need to post another on Monday and deliver one too.
I don't feel particularly organised at the moment, but have put in quite alot of extra time and effort into work which hopefully will bear more fruit. Next week isn't that busy at the moment, though DS has a hospital appointment, the plumber is due and school is shut for a day for Teacher Training - doesn't leave much time for earning!
Oh, didn't get to finish trimming the hedge either! Did come back from meeting DS to find a police car on our drive way and a police lady greeting us  turns out she'd got the wrong house - very bizarre, since we've a number plaque as do the other houses. She did apologise for scaring me!
Oh for the second timeAnother product to test arrived today as well - an edible one this time. Yum - taking that with us for the weekend and a follow up survey is due next week.
May spend out on wi-fi at the hotel, but only if I can't find a local free hot spot where we can eat dinner - can do the adpoints and other stuff too then
That's definitely all the news for today.Hope everyone has had a good one.
