Thanks for sharing Ig - the Sterimart looks very interesting, sea salt does seem to be the stuff to clear it. There's a sea salt cave therapy centre about 20 mins from us - expensive though! I've had the Flaxinase spray on prescription a couple of times with the warning it can make things worse when I stop using it. That seems to be a recurring theme! Netti pot is going well, it certainly clears them good and proper straight after, but not ongoing. I do wonder if I've got a bit of an allergy - coming from a family of ecsema and asthma I'm lucky I don't suffer from anything worse.

    * * *

    So an update on today.

£2 paid to DS as he has cut the grass - he's up for £5 to include edging, brushing up and clearing away afterwards as I've been doing those jobs. Let the negotiating begin! :D

Got some shrub trimming and weeding done as well, so on top of most of the garden for the moment. A few areas still to do once we move things to the garage from the side of the house (broken old white patio table for the dump I think and a stack of chairs I'll keep).

Took the car for another free valet at the dealership too. Making the most of that.

Gammon now on for a roast dinner and better start preparing things for DS for school tomorrow and me for work.

May get onto zapping books this evening.

Hope everyone is having a good day, though the weather isn't that good here at the moment. :)

Thanks for the nasal updates :rotfl: just being nosy :rotfl:

I would love to have clear nasal passages but am scared to do the netti, but more so of surgery  Will wait to see how you get on.

So nice to hear of DSs 'friend '. Although if it was my DD out at a boy 'friends' I would be so worried. I am going to have to face it soon though aren't I.

There were some good business ideas at the fete. Someone selling cute old mismatched china. Another selling handbags a bit like The Book People. I'd love to source some nice bags cheaply anyone? However must get on and do my totals soon, have taken my eye off for a few hours. :o

Hi Ali - just trying to catch up with favourite diaries - may take me a while! You look like you are doing great though - I need to take some tips for organisation from you. And send your DS here when he has done your garden - I'll give him a fiver to do ours! ;)

The Netti pot is working well, just important to clean it properly after use and allow to air dry. Plus the right type of water.

DS has been to her house and met her parents - they live close by. I'm over the shock now and it's part of them growing up and letting them go a bit more. Doesn't stop me worrying either.

Ooh cottage industry is a good idea - I wouldn't have a clue where to start either though. :o

Great to see you Miz. :rotfl: You're welcome to have DS (and girl 'friend' in tow would be the deal I expect ;)), he'd jump at £5 no doubt!

I did my Zapping last night, so all the books are out of the study, however only £6.68 to be made and it needs to be £10 minimum. Stuck again! We'll take a load to car boot sale and see if anything shifts there. If not, looks like charity shop.

Another post for today coming up. :)

Boys don't need it so much these days - in DS's case, she has done all the running  He's fairly quiet and laid back, she is quite bouncy and chatty. They seem to be total opposites!

  • My DS likes a girl in school and she likes him but he won't say anything. He just worships from across the dining hall ( everybody say aahh) I told him to get a pal to ask her and that would save him doing it, he says no though so back to the drawing board

A busy but good start to the working week and still on track to be over target for the month. :j

    Financials:
    - bank account checked - monthly use and pay off CC payment went out today
    - freepostcodelottery (both) - checked
    - Nectar adpoints - new week and 28 points clocked up
    - Nectar search - 100 completed for this month :j
    - Nectar Canvass - to look at
    - Nectar card - up a little to £67.68
    - Inbox Pounds - up at £2.25
    - Qmee - nothing picked up yet today

Have done the weekly food shop tonight as DS seems to be eating everything in sight and we're running out of basic things like bread quicker than usual! Spent £30.93, which included a large bag of dog food, so @ £23 for food - a little high and included treats like strawberries (£1.39) and some lamb steaks at over £3

It's also turned quite chilly again here today so back in socks and a fleece tonight! Very fetching :rotfl: Higher temps due tomorrow and I'm hoping to get some free Vit D and sit out in it for a while - I'm off work for the day due to taking Mum to a hospital appointment early afternoon.

Hope everyone is having a good start to the week. :)

Aww bless him. DS gets on easily with girls - either he's in touch with his feminine side or he's storing up trouble for later on :rotfl:
