Really busy work day and have booked more in too. :j I should be over target for this month as things stand, so looking at July's budget, £400 to CC and £776 to the mortgage should be doable. Ambitious but I'm optimistic right now. :) There's also buildings and contents insurance due next month, so I'll be looking for cashback too. :D

    Financials today then:
    - bank account checked
    - freepostcodelottery (both) - checked
    - nectar adpoints - 3 more and now on 32 points
    - nectar canvass - a 40 pointer to do on the back of the product test
    - nectar search - up at 67/100
    - nectar card - still at £66.94
    - Inbox Pounds - up at £18.70
    - Qmee - another 5p
    - P!necone - points allocated and redeemed for £3 to Paypal :D

Tomorrow I'm working at home and will be trying to fit in the 2 days worth I planned into one, so I can do a different bit on Friday that came in today. So if you see me posting during working hours, then please feel free to tell me to get on with my work :rotfl: I need to be disciplined for sure to meet the deadlines.

Hope everyone has had a good day. Sunshine has continued and am hoping it still around at the weekend so I can enjoy it. :) Grass needs cutting again too!

Hi Ali, I admire your tenacity. You seem so organised, I so agree that keep going with the little things and eventually it adds up to a lot. I keep popping in here to remind myself.

I will be at work tomorrow but as I'm demob happy I will pop by to make sure you are working! :o (good excuse) :)

It's the excel spreadsheets that keep me in line. :rotfl: Have a simple but effective budget one that's been running since 2006 - I set up another 12 months towards each year end by copying and pasting, so all the annual bills show up in the right month. I can also look back and see how much bills have increased or decreased by. For example, in April 2008, elec and gas combined was £30.40. I sound like an OAP going on about how much stuff has increased these days :rotfl:

I have to tweak each month with date changes, but it has a simple column of Money In, Money Out and a Running Total one - the last one has a simple formula of adding and subtracting what's in the row. So any changes and the running total automatically changes for me. Keeps me abreast of what's left at month end - which is what will be at the start of the next month's sheet (as that's an auto calc as well :D).

I've got similar inter-linked sheets for the business, so it's all works easily and means my Accountant's bill is as low as possible. ;) I check my diary posting here for my list of little bits to make sure I've done them all!

Thanks for keeping me on the straight and narrow tomorrow, now I know I'm being watched, I'll be extra careful :rotfl:

Lol. I have similar spreadsheet set up at home. Although I have a master sheet and set up a spreadsheet full of lookups. Then I hard copy it before I set up a new one for next month. It needs a bit of tidying up really so I may set up a new one.

Will be checking in tomorrow :):wave:

Just checking in to see if any posting going on :rotfl:

Went to the Halifax earlier to change DDs account from a 0.5% one to a 3% one - they told me to come back with her proof of ID last time I went in. Today, they told me that no, I need to make an appointment. Getting the feeling that they want to make it as hard as possible (that's just paranoid - I know its just them being inefficient really). :(

Will make an appointment soon - I know its only 3% but its DDs 3%!

Right off to stop being a hippocrate - apols for posting all over your thread :A

:rotfl: Post away :D. What a nightmare with Halif@x, sure all these banks are getting harder to open accounts with. Can't remember what they said to me about Junior ISA opening when I was in there now.

I've had a tea break here and there ;) and finally upgraded my Lloyds account to the Club Lloyds at 4% on £5k and opened the associated Regular Saver at 4% and set up the SO for £400 a month - can always lower that down over time, but sitting with £10k in there at the mo, I need to get some of it moving to make it work for me. :)

Got wobbly eye bits coming on, so laptop work will have to stop for a while - time for lunch I think and possibly 40 winks. Got lots done so far though, but plenty still to do!

Early update as I have good intentions of doing some stuff in the garden after dinner. :D Let's see if I actually get out there though!

After an enforced lunchtime break and headache pills, I got the work done that I needed to. Phew.

I've spent £3.90 posting a 2nd Class Signed For parcel (birthday present) and £26.05 on 24 boxes of Sm!nts. Much cheaper online and with cashback too. They'll last a good 6 months and are my constant companion - handbag, car, etc.

    Financials then:
    - bank account checked. Account changed, Reg Saver opened. :T
    - freepostcodelottery (day) - checked
    - Nectar Adpoints - up at 45 points today
    - Nectar Canvass - 40 pointer done last night
    - Nectar Search - up at 80/100
    - Nectar Card - up at £67.19
    - Inbox Pounds - reached £20.01 and cheque requested. :j New pot has a £1 bonus in to start the next run. :D £80+ received from there to date
    - Qmee - moved 91p to bank account, not picked up anything today though
    - P!necone £3 arrived in Paypal, moved to bank account.

£24 will be sent to the CC when the IP cheque arrives/is banked (7-10 days time). :j

Got one load of washing done and dried on line. It's staring at me to be put away!

Time to get cracking in the kitchen I think!

Hope everyone has had a good day and thanks to SS for monitoring me.

Glad you had a good day - I was so hot at work, could hardly move even with all the windows open. Shouldn't moan though as its much better than the rain. Can't wait for the weekend.:)

Sorry MIT but honestly I could have burst into flames. Have had a bath and cooling off in the cottage. Need to dress in something cooler tomorrow. Hope the big yellow thing comes your way tomorrow.
