The march to financial freedom

The weekend is here, though I've worked at home today and had chance to enjoy the lovely sunshine we've had here by putting washing out on the line, emptying bins and generally finding a reason to go outdoors and do something.
I've even swept the garage floor in anticipation of DS's bedroom declutter-thon tomorrow
Plus heavy rain is due here all day.
Work is starting to quieten down alot in comparison to the last few months - it's the start of the holiday season it seems and the World Cup is playing an added part this year. This is making me think twice at the moment about getting an office, so am shelving that for the time being and will see how things pan out over the coming days and weeks. I only need 2 more billable bits of worked booked in for an average month this month and that's not bad for one week in.
Financials then:
- bank account checked - £520 to CC set up to go out on Monday
- freepostcodelottery (both) - checked
- Nectar adpoints - nothing new, still at 58 points
- Nectar Canvass - not looked today yet
- Nectar Search - up at 43/100
- Nectar Card - up at £65.68
- Inbox Pounds - up at £15.39 and 6 surveys to try for
- Qmee - another 5p
I need to read the electricity meter tomorrow (great - in the rain!) and send the reading to the supplier. Will do the gas as well, keeping the weekly read going and spreadsheet updated.
DS has done rather well in a national competition through school and will be having his work published in the autumn. Cue a spend as I'd better buy the book it's going in.Am really proud of him :T
Think that's all to report today. Hope everyone has had a good day.Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019

I had to read my meters today and you can really see a difference with DS being off on study leave. Scary as he will be off for another 7 weeks soon. I don't think I can afford him :eek:5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -

Reading back down to normal levels for last week since he went back to school! It's all the gadgets!
DS is already up and ready to start on his bedroom  I'm still on tea and tasks on Inbox Pounds - another 50p in the pot.
Weather was dry first thing, then grey and dark and now rain...here we go. Thunderstorms and lightening due. I've got eyebrow thread appointment later this morning, so will have to go out in it.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Thanks for that
I've been thinking about trying Ald! or L!dl for ages. The problem is the OH... let's just say he's not quite into debt repayment/ money saving as me :rotfl:
In the meantime I think we just need to think about what is really necessary and not spending so much on treats. Ive tried menu planning in the past but think this might be a good thing to start doing again.
Well done to your DS as well :TSPC9 #5070 -
Hope your decluttering is going well and storms are not too bad x5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Menu planning is a good start point DC and worth using Ald! and L!dl for the financial savings for sure. Can you send DH with a list and only to buy the items on it?
DS's bedroom is done! :j:j There wasn't too much to be moved to the garage for car booting/selling, but he's had a good sort through and put stuff away in their rightful place which means we can get in his room and see the carpet for the first time in a looong time. :T
Rain stopped and sunshine out - wasn't expecting that!
Eyebrows threaded - £3 spent.
Lunch was LO bits and pieces from the fridge, dinner will be the usual Saturday night Chilli, rice and garlic bread.
Financials:
- bank account checked
- freepostcodelottery (day) - checked
- Nectar adpoints - no new, still on 58 points
- Nectar Canvass - none for me to do
- Nectar Search - up at 46/100
- Nectar Card - still at £65.68
- Inbox Pounds - a nice jump up to £16.58
- Qmee - 10p picked up today
Emailed someone advertising free used paving slabs on a recycling site, but they'd already gone. He'll have some more in about a month, so will keep an eye for those. It's the first stage of changing a few bits in the garden - need about 7 slabs in a line to go under windows to put the wheelie bins on, but I am not paying for them
Time for a well earned cuppa I think.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Good morning!
What a beautiful morning it is here - warm, glorious sunshine and have been out with the dogs nice and early. They're now sunbathing on the patio!
A few financials done too:
- bank account checked (not that anything moves on a Sunday)
- Nectar card - up at £66.65
- Inbox Pounds - up at £17.12
We're off out mid-morning to DBs and collecting Mum on the way, either lunching at DBs or he's taking us out. Nothing in my budget for this but have some cash just in case.
DS had a few more books to go from yesterday's sort out and a Z@pper email in saying that they take 95% of books now, has reminded me to go through the remaining piles from the pre-Christmas blitz. What they can't take, can be moved to the garage and we'll try car booting first before charity shopping the rest. Will free my study up a bit more. Also need to move the taken up carpet from the spare room to the garage to store for a while.
A couple of things we need to photograph for Gumtree and eBay and get those listed when we return later. Also looks like I need to post a birthday present that I was hoping to give in person, so will need to get that wrapped and ready to go.
So plenty to do! Plus housework  and then back into a new working week. Busy first half of the week with client facing, then it'll be laptop madness for the rest :rotfl:. Can't wait until my opticians appointment next Saturday as my vision has definitely changed.
Hope everyone has a good day.Back on the DFW Wagon:

A couple more on the financials (using all the spare moments whilst DS is getting ready
)
- Nectar Search - up to 50/100
- Nectar Adpoints - looks like 58 is my lot for this week
- Qmee - another 10p :j
Not enough time to do a survey or I would! Have to see what's available when we return and also check freepostcodelottery.
