With a bit of time to spare before I need to head out, I've come on here...the alternative was going to town and Wilkos to buy more paint and use the £4 off voucher...but common sense prevailed as spends have been constant this month and a NSD is in order. :)

    Financials done already:
    - bank account checked
    - Nectar adpoints - 6 more and up to 34 pts
    - Nectar card value - up at £68.18
    - Inbox Pounds - up at £2.44
    - Qmee - 11p added to the pot

I'm playing email tag with the plumber to book a date for the boiler service (£60) and to finally get the niggly jobs done - kitchen tap drip, bathroom sink pop up plug and bathroom tap top fixed. That will all fall into July I think, as the first date offered is the one day we're away.

Have finished the June birthdays now too - just one to deliver and one to post early next week. List ready for July to check against the card stock and see what falls out of that.

It's turning into a lovely warm sunny day here, so might have time to grab a cuppa and sit outside for 10 minutes. :T Nice to enjoy the garden when the lawn's short and minus the weeds. :D

Hope everyone has a good day and no doubt I'll catch up again later. :)

    Good evening,

I've just read Martin's email and looks like technical faults on delayed flights are now part of the compensation deal - so I've got some letters to send off :j. It's with one of the awkward airlines reading their pay out rate, but nothing ventured, nothing gained. :)

Struggled with another 'no pain migraine' today and visual disturbances, so had to get home before it got worse. Not good. Feeling rough tonight but better than earlier.

    Financials:
    - bank account checked
    - freepostcodelottery (both) - checked
    - Nectar adpoints - 4 pts and up to 38
    - Nectar Canvass - did a 40 pointer last night and a 20 pointer too, but the latter errored at the end  and won't reload to complete it
    - Nectar card - up at £68.43
    - Inbox Pounds - up at £2.94. Cheque for £20.01 has now been processed, hoping that will arrive either Saturday or Monday. :j
    - Qmee - nothing picked up today as yet

I've got to pop down to Morries tonight as DS's marmite is running very low - their own brand is £1.79 vs. £2.50 for the branded in Ald!.

Hope everyone has had a good day - especially with the highest temps and sunshine in Scotland :)

A continuation of yesterday, waking with the same darn migraine . Have made a GP appointment for first thing Monday morning. I did manage to reduce it to a dull thuddy headache and get to a client meeting this afternoon.

I went to Morries for their version of Marmite last night - so much for them reducing prices, it's gone up to £1.89 . Must update sig as it's out of the grocery spend.

    Financials then:
    - bank account checked - new account paperwork and card came in the post today :T
    - freepostcodelottery (both) - checked
    - Nectar adpoints - another 5 and up to 43
    - Nectar Canvass - half way through a 90 pointer it told me they'd met their quota
    - Nectar Card - up at £68.62
    - Inbox Pounds - up at £3.16 - this is going to be a slow road to £20 this time I can tell, after 2 fast ones!
    - Qmee - picked up 10p last night, might get something there later

Mostly, I'll be watching England play tonight and have the Ald! strawberries and chocolate ready to munch on :D.

Have plans to do a car boot sale on Sunday, though that might be scuppered due to a) possibly working Saturday morning and b) forgetting we're due at a local carnival Saturday afternoon. Oops. My being organised halo has clearly slipped :rotfl:

Hope everyone has had a good day. :)

    Good evening,

Thanks Miz - head is getting better day by day, still a vision issue but since Optician couldn't find it, I'm not sure GP will. May end up getting referred back to the hospital. Will find out Monday.

Watching Italy play, it's not looking good for England is it :(

Ah well, it's Friday and another gorgeous day and evening here. Washing drying on the line (only 3 loads done MiT :D) and work wrapped up for the week. How hot is it in Scottie-land? :D

    Financials:
    - bank account checked - regular saver has it's first £400 in :T
    - freepostcodelottery (both) - checked
    - Nectar adpoints - 8 more and up to 51, as usual from the 13 points available in the email, I'd already picked up the first 5 :rotfl:
    - Nectar Canvass - not looked at
    - Nectar card - still at £68.62
    - Inbox Pounds - up at £3.36
    - Qmee - another 11p picked up

No spends so far today, though I've applied to do the Accounting AAT L2 course part-time from September  Been years since I did any quals, so with SE work slowing down and DS getting older, it seems a good time to start building up towards looking for a job with an employer should SE dry up completely. I've got a stack of management qualifications, so this will widen my choices hopefully and maybe an entirely new career. So, awaiting an interview now to see if they'll let me on the course. :D If it's a yes, they'll be AAT sub and course fee - about £400.

Life is certainly a roller coaster - even being debt neutral - and I worry too much!

Like the sound of the AAT course. I've bought an excel course and a sage course from groupon. Around £100 for the two. I'd [strike]Is[/strike] also really like a degree level qualification. Have a couple in mind but really want the cheapest/quickest. Want to keep my options open.

I'm a worrier too - but there is a poem which says something like once life is like an old pair of comfy slippers/you stand still you stop living/growing.

I'd like the boring life but it's not as much fun. :undecided

That's a very good price for those two. What degrees are you thinking of? I can't find one that I fancy!

More security/stability from having a job would be good. I think I'm allergic to comfy :rotfl: comes with the territory of single parenting I think!

A couple of leadership level 6/7 courses (I think) but I'd like to do something IT related. Need to stop prevaricating.
