Half the day gone already, though I've been good and painted the second coat of undercoat and the rads and pipes have had their one coat of gloss.

DS has only just surfaced  so I've popped a 99p pizza in the oven for our lunch and am taking a well deserved double tea break - not enough of those this morning, so playing catch up :D

Post lunch, it's onto the first coat of ceiling and glossing the woodwork/doors. Think that will be my lot in there today, leaving second ceiling coat and 2 wall coats for tomorrow.

Thanks to Alex's help last night, I'm sorted with car pricing and advertising. :) Will get the service done on Tuesday and take more photos - the ones I took earlier in the week the sun is too bright on the car, so looks like a cloudy day will be best. We get plenty of those, so won't have to wait long I suspect!

Have done some of the financial bits:
    - bank account checked
    - freepostcodelottery checked
    - nectar card value up to £56.21
    - Inbox Pounds up to £14.95

Adpoints, Canvass and more IP will do tonight.

The weather is a bit mixed here, bright sunshine this morning has given way to clouds and it's quite cold. Can't have the heating on though until the radiators are dry, so that's a plus point :rotfl:

Hope everyone is having a good day. :)

    Hello!

Delurking here:) I've read up to middle of jan, you're doing so well, very inspiring! You are meticulous! I have been around here reading diaries for years, paid off a load of debt and what with now being a single parent to a vast number of children, it's all crept up again!

I'm going to sort dinner and come back and read some more. Also to find the real motivation needed to make proper inroads into the debt. And STOP procrastinating, I'm brilliant at it!

    Hi Dinga

You are brave reading from the beginning  and thank you for your kind comments too.

Single parenting is hard work isn't it and I've only the 1 child, so I can only imagine the added pressures and juggling with more. I take my hat off to you. :T

Procrastinators unite :D I'm terrible for it too, but my diary has really helped me track things I need to do and reminds me of those little things that are earning extra points and pennies. They all add up.

Have you started a diary and I'll come and cheer you on. :D

Painting for today completed, dinner eaten and doggies walked. I'm sooo tired now!

Wasn't sure the 1/3rd tin of woodwork gloss was going to be enough, but just made it.

Picked up another 6 points on Nectar ads and up to 66.

Think I'll give surveys and IP a miss tonight, unless I get an energy spurt later.

Dishwasher has been on again, so need to empty that and then work out how I fit the normal housework and washing amongst the painting tomorrow! Probably between each coat drying which means an early start.

Time for some candlelight, tv and an Irish coffee for a treat :D

Glad to hear you are sorted with the car. You could also advertise on carandclassic - worth a try as it's completely free of charge.

Sounds like you are getting on well with the decorating.

What are Inbox Pounds, Adpoints, Canvass and IP, if you do not mind me asking?
    2018 totals:

    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500

Good idea on C&C - shall go there first with it being free :D

Am pleased with the painting today, makes me realise how bad it was before though

IP is Inbox Pounds (inboxpounds.co.uk) is a money earning site for watching ads, doing online tasks, completing survey and filling in forms for offers (but I don't buy anything, just register to get the 'earnings'). About £20 a month from that.

Canvass and Adpoints are both for earning points that go to your Nectar loyalty card. Although I don't shop in Sainsburys per se, you can collect points from these other affiliates and then spend in lots of other shops too. Canvass is surveys and Adpoints is adverts. There's also Search - 200 searches using Nectar Tool Bar equals 100 points = 50p value. All those are added up on the Nectar site and that's where I track my card value (ie. what I have available to spend).

:o Sometimes I remember the evening one, but not often. It's usually the email for the daytime one that prompts me.

It's the first time I've multi-quoted too - just worked it out after 6 months (or 8 years from joining ) :rotfl:

I don't think the evening one is well advertised Skinny, took me awhile to find that out. Will have to add that to my 'financials' list daily now, as I often use it as a check of what I still need to do. :)

    * * *

An early start this morning and the second ceiling coat is on. Always wonder if I've missed a bit though, so took a bit longer, though lots of natural light so I could see the wet vs dry relatively easily. The 5L has covered it all with a tad to spare.

Now to cross fingers the 5L of wall emulsion will be enough. I should have a rough idea after the first coat.

I've taken the gas and elec readings - we have used an extra 10 units of electric this week . Gas is much lower again, so at least some good news there.

I've also received the post-7 day cooling off email for switching electricity suppliers, so we're into the 4 week switchover period now. £17 cashback to come once complete and a lower DD to look forward to by about £6 a month.

Rain is forecast here today and is currently a mix of sunshine and cloud, so going to put off the washing until tomorrow, makes sense with the decorating in there too.

Number of cups of tea drunk - just 2  *toodles off to pop the kettle on* :D

Hope everyone has a good day. :)

I'm officially exhausted from having read the rest of your diary!

I love the organisation of it all, I love organisation although with 7 children, including 4 teenage boys, my organisation is most often trashed or actually more like a lovely dream/ideal! Once I get my new kitchen finished..........In my head it is gorgeous, tidy, shiny and organised within an inch of its life, in reality it will look like student accommodation!

I have to paint the new extension soon which will be a huge job, not sure how to tackle that yet, although I have bought a load of paint 3for2 in B&Q. Was thinking about a paint pod? Or I could maybe hire a sprayer. Again, be lovely to have a gorgeous young man to come and do it for me!

I was going to look at inbox pounds etc, do you have a referral link I can use? Infact any referrals as I haven't used any of these sites in years and will have to re register I imagine.

Thinking about starting a diary........procrastination is something I achieve everyday!

    Edited to add:

Diary started, maybe should start a sweep stake too to see how long I last!
