I am the registered keeper and one of the drivers.

I said I will check the letters but they are from PE and are just a couple of photos of the vehicle entering and leaving and saying that I owe them money for violating the conditions. There was nothing on the vehicle

If you've left it technically 'too late' to appeal, then still complain to the CEO of the retailer/cinema/hotel or to the landowner. If you can prove purchases with a bank statement or receipt then send a copy with a strong complaint. PE take ignorers to court you know - where have you been and why ignore them in 2013?

And the best thing as you haven't appealed yet is to write to PE and name the driver as it wasn't you on that occasion. Give the name and address of the driver and they will have to issue a Notice to the driver instead (who can then appeal - which is what you should have done in the first place).

I'll check the dates if I can. We do shop there most weeks. unfortunately I pay by cash but if it came to it, i would imagine that some of the staff may vouch for that.

My partner has been suffering from depression and panick attacks for a year or more and tbh I think she has sucked me down to her level and we have both really struggled to deal with anything like this.

OK so you have now revealed something very relevant to your complaints. A medical condition lasting at least 12 months which has a substantial effect on daily living (like depression) means that your partner is covered by the Equality Act 2010. Was she in the car that day, do you think?

She is legally entitled to a 'reasonable adjustment' of time. An allegation of overstay against a person with 'protected characteristics' (like depression and panic attacks which can slow down & interrupt the shopping visit) is actually indirect discrimination under the Act.

You can use a tweaked version of the simple complaint I wrote in post #13 here as SRM on pepipoo:

Very similar case (depression affecting Aldi customer who got a PE fake PCN for 'overstay!). Send it to the retail store manager and Head Office, and to the PPC as well.

ok, i'll talk to her and see if we can work out who was driving. When I go, I am more often on a motorcycle.

You can tell from the PCN whether it was a pic of a motorbike, and what vehicle reg they are citing!

Come on...this is like getting blood out of a stone and it's your ticket not mine!

The ticket was for the car which would make it likely that it was my gf or we were together

    Who knows? :)

But the PCN will show him whether it was issued to the car and it makes no odds if she was driving or a passenger. If she was there she's allowed more time.

If the government was driving then stonker can reset clock and get POPLA by telling PE that she was driving.

That would be the best way forward.

    Government should read other half!!
