Aw, what are you going to call her or did she come with a name :D?
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Needs a clean. but I am sooo happy. It drives lovely!

Plus, if she breaks down tomorrow you know exactly where to find the grifter who sold it to you lol!

    Have fun driving it.

I was not MSE today, as went out for our anniversary lunch. A few days early as

A, son will go back to uni tomorrow am, and B actual date is Tuesday (restaurant isn't open tuesday) and C we are going away next WE for the anniversary.

So will have to spend March saving instead me thinks.

atush, anniversary lunches are important and should be celebrated properly - you can't spend your whole life paring every expense to the bone (as you yourself have pointed out. :) ). I hope you had a nice time? ...

I did, and I saved money on dinner as was too full to eat any ;)

And the Son drove, so we could have a coctail and a bottle of red. Not too big a price to pay for his Steak frites lol!

My little town in the middle of no where, in the middle of the sea now has an honest-to-god french restaurant with an actual french chef. It is like hell just froze over, cuz I never thought that would happen lol.

Atush, sounds lovely - cocktail, red wine, steak frites - sounds like my sort of meal :)

Been booking tickets this morning for trip to Italy in autumn, managed to get pretty cheap deals (about £60 return once cashback is included) so I'm pleased about that. Really looking forward to it now.

I've noticed there is a challenge in the debt-free section for book buying (don't buy any more books till you've read the ones you've got) and I'm seriously wondering if I ought not to join, the only catch being it would probably take me over a year to read all of mine, I bet I've got loads. Still, it might be good for me. :) I was having a look at an extreme frugality site yesterday and step two was getting rid of pretty much all your books ... I am just not going to do that. I love having books around.

Interesting, but I have some books I have bought cheap in a series but wont read them til I pick up earlier ones.

And then there are the ones I have bought for the OH Bday in march, those will be read in April on the fam holiday- cant read them before I gift them lol.

Then there are ones that can be hard going and you need the odd break (like GRR Martin ones) so I read half-1 book then wait 6 months or more for the next.

Anyway, I didn't have steak Frites (my son did lol) although I did taste it. I had Prawns in the most Lovely sauce followed by Osso Buco. Next visit there will be in March for hubby's bday.

Today am considering not having lunch (very mse) or having leftovers as am still full from yesterday plus Breakfast- sundy is the only day we have cooked Breakfast and made a good one to send off my son back to Uni. His plane has landed and he in on the train back as we speak. No home cooking for him til mid april now.

In all honesty I think it would take me years to read all the books I haven't read. Maybe that's why it would be good for me to do that challenge though :)

I just don't agree with those who say that books on your shelf are just clutter. I think they make a home a home.

Occo Bucco, yum :) Ages since I've had that. It's very easy to make, actually (from memory).

I had a search around my house this morning looking for loose coinage, in handbags, coat pockets, drawers, in the laundry basket, on the floor etc. So far I've found about £70! It just goes to show. I'll take that all down to the bank sometime this week.
