    Morning all, just.

Today I have paid stuff I need to do, but we have to go to Mr A first for birthday cards and gifts (for DD's twin cousins) as I want them bought & wrapped before Saturday so Ex can take them with him this weekend and not have to call here the following weekend on the way to pick DD up from a sleepover to take her to the birthday party ;) I will have my lie-in lol We also need some bits to see is through until I get a 'back to school' delivery on Sunday.

Loads of ironing to do, so I'm going to set DD on that when we get back, then tomorrow we'll set too and get this house clean top to bottom whether DD likes it or not.

    So list for today:
    Mr A shop
    Wash up
    WM/TD (x2)
    Laundry away
    Ironing
    Paid stuff : Order
    Shredding
    Mr A delivery - sort

And I have no idea what else needs to be done today. :o
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Hello all. No flying here today, but I've just popped on for some flylady posivibes as they usually work. SickDog has taken a turn for the worse and I'm hoping they let her home from the vet today, please please.

It is a year today since a family friend committed suicide and a blog I read had some useful and thought provoking links to articles about taking care of your mental well-being. I hope you won't mind me copying them in here?

Many thanks for this; I've bookmarked those for later perusal. I suffer from severe and persistent depression, with what my GP has on my notes as "suicidal ideation" so I'm grateful to you for taking the time to post this.

Anyways, to the original reason for logging on today..... I believe some folks have been having a re-arrange of furniture, and I wondered if what I always used to do might make the task easier?

I used to measure the room, then draw a scale plan of the room on graph paper, putting in an "arc" for where the door needed to open, and marking the position of windows, radiators and electrical sockets. I would then measure all the furniture to be fitted in, again including "arcs" added on for cupboard doors that needed to swing open, do cut-outs using the graph paper to keep them to scale, and use that to see where to put everything - it's much easier moving bits of paper around than moving the actual furniture two or three times before it's right.:o Hope this is useful to someone.:o

If you hear reports on the news of a murder in Essex it is me. DS1 has not got up and has missed his job centre interview for the 2nd time. I am so angry I could kill him.

2 x HHI done and more to go. There is more steam comimg out of my ears than the iron.

Mumto5, could you beat him to death with the iron?
Hmm, dehumidifier full to bursting for the 3rd day running, I knew it felt damp upstairs. Probably shielded by the jumpers I put on it to dry and thought it was nice and dry inside. Note to self, turn to continuous when drying washing on top!
    Lunchtime :D

Checked lists, Thursday is done so I might just delay lunch and vax the floors cause then I won't be able to walk on them right? So I can sit down and watch ironman3 -result!

Coffee drunk. WM unloaded on to the airer, dog blankets put on to wash. DW loaded and on. Some of the carp in the living room picked up, girls carp bagged up so they can deal with it later. Landing and top half of the stairs hoovered, I did it on my hands and knees so now my backs killing :(
I've just made 3 batches of salt dough for DD1 to take to her work placement. A friend gave me bags and bags of flour that is close to its best before date and I'll never use it all to bake with and DD1 said they go through loads of dough at her work placement so it made sense.
Negotiations gone into with DD1 over her lunch time texting to me. I will dye her hair and she will clean the bathroom and put some stuff in the attic for me. She'd have done it anyway but still.
I'll think of some jobs for DD2 to do when she gets home from school. That just reminded me I need to wrap her friend's birthday present, she's coming round after school to get it.
