Dinner was half cooked, when OH told me his bridge was falling out, he had only been to the dentist earlier on, to get it fixed, so he went down there and 'demanded' it was fixed.

He is now sitting here, wonder what he can eat........

Going to have me time tonight and paint my nails!

  • Thanks as always for your motivation everyone. Have managed to give the bathroom a good clean, dustied and tidied the office and also managed to get some washing nearly dried so thats just been finished off in the tumbler. At half seven DS1 remembered he had a nosebleed last night so I had to sort his bed out as well. Must buy some more cheap pillows as thats the second one that I have had to throw out recently.

Need to find a little storage unit to put in the utility room for hats and gloves now its getting to that time of year, otherwise they will just spread themselves around the house. Oh and I decluttered our box of trainers/footie boots in the utility room which I have been putting off for ages. Two pairs of boots to go on ebay and several pairs for the charity shop/bin. I have also washed 4 pairs of very muddy footwear which I hate doing so thats a real achievement!

So its nearly 9pm and I havent actually had any time to myself yet today. Might just get my jim jams on and get into bed soon. I feel in need of an early night!

Well DD's room is sort of done. We've swapped the beds over, then discovered that there wasn't as much room as we thought left at the foot of it for her toy boxes (most of which haven't seen the light of day since last year!), so tried turning the bed 90degrees to give her more wall space, then there wasn't enough clearance to get in her chest of drawers, or the wardrobe if we moved the chest of drawers :mad: So back to juggling stuff around and its just about squeezed in. DD is insisting that she has to keep everything in her room...so I have a plan involving crepe paper and sticky tape over the toys but under the lid of the boxes ;) I'll write the date I do it on the crepe paper (next week when she's back at school) and then when she does decide to play with stuff then she'll have to remove the crepe paper and I'll know. If she's not played with stuff by the time she goes back to school next September then its going to the charity shop!

Had a bath, been to work twice and went to the shops inbetween work trips. Now DD is just washing some dishes (only been telling her to do them for 2 days!) and I'm going to curl up with a notebook and pen and try to work out a shopping list for Mr A's tomorrow since I need to go and buy ink so DD can print her homework out. :o If I can avoid town then I'm going to.

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Meet at mid-day ish - frodders what time does your train arrive? Mine's about 11.30 I think, will double check though.

Good point re allergies, I have none, anyone else?

Depending on the final count of adults & children I will post more definite info.

Train due in about 11:45 I think. No allergies here (just a need for veggie food!).

Just a thought but, as this is a public forum, might not be wise to post details on here. Specific time and place usually sent via PM / text. Hope that's okxx

ETA I have applied a paste of soda crystals and bleach to the mould-stained silicone sealant around the bath as recommended here (froddington?) so I will report back with results later ;)

Nothing to do with me - but thanks for the mention!! ;):p

I'm so glad I had my ppa today - coughing so much I don't think I would have survived a full week. Still (ever the Pollyanna) I can be glad that, having had the lurgy, I should be safe for the hols!

(Not that it will be much of a holiday as I will be playing catch up, going to the dentist (rescheduled appt) getting my flu jab, seeing if I can get the toilet filler thing repaired (it's not shutting off so we are using a screwdriver to shut the water off - and it's not the float) etc etc...)

Managed to get loads done today but just never got to the bathroom. Well, not to clean. Had to fight the cat as she decided the warm clean towels were a perfect place to sleep. This was after she had walked pink paint all over DD's carpet. So I had to capture the cat and wash her paws too . I have sorted out the towels box though. I've sorted 3 carrier bags of stuff to go today.
I have also mended 4 items of clothing today which took an hour and a half!
DH has done the first coat on DD's walls and they look lovely. I need to pick up her wallpaper tomorrow and plan a trip to ikea at some point to collect her a new chest of drawers. Phew, busy busy.

Not much done apart from the dailies this week. Though house isn't too bad. I'm out early this morning but will be back early afternoon. So hopefully will catch up then.

    Shopping later with DD.

In a bit of a quandary as DDs best friend rang me on the QT to say what youngest DGS is up to. DD doesn't want to worry me but friend says she is crying about it. I'm not happy as he is not paying his board and up to other stuff and she is struggling. It will blow up again and I will get involved then. DDs friend keeping an eye for me.

    Hugs for everyone.

    Morning

After a busy day yesterday, I didn't do too badly. The only thing not completed from the list was the HHI but I did do HH exercise (trying to lose 1st). Today I'm going to need some motivation today as I was up around 3 hours in the night between the kids and the dog :(

    Anyway, todays list:
    • Empty DW
    • Reload DW
    • Get something out for tea
    • Get dogs lunch ready for work
    • Paid stuff
    • Clear book bags away as half term starts tomorrow :D
    • Prepare tea
    • Clear away from tea
    • Dog training
    • HHI
    • HH Exercise
    • Plan something to do tomorrow with the boys
    See you all later.
