  • FLYMEET TUESDAY 29TH OCTOBER IN BIRMINGHAM

I have sent pms to those who registered an interest in meeting, giving further details. Please reply if you haven't already done so ;)

If there is anyone else who would like to meet on Tuesday in central Birmingham then please pm me, or post your interest and I'll pm you the details.

The general plan is meet, eat & chat. It promises to be a great afternoon, to put faces to names.... and real names to fly-names! A chance to experience the wonderful advice and support on the flylady thread in the real world.

It would be lovely to see some new faces, go on, be brave and join us, even if just for a cuppa.

Frodders and I are staying overnight (not together, in case you were wondering) so if Wednesday morning is more convenient for you (before our trains home) then that can be arranged.

    x
    Bonnie - have pm'd you.

Busy day... I am so pleased we made tracks to getting the kitchen warm..

2 of my 3 door curtains up and 1 of my 3 blinds up and 2 of my 3 external doors also have draught brush things on.. 4 for 3 in B&Q so I grabbed those and some of the reflective stuff for the boys radiator!

I actually feel like we made progress today.. I also got up the 2nd curtain in the girls room which I needed to sew for 3 years.. I feel like a weight lifted getting that frog done!!

I even put my sewing machine away once I'd finished.

Pots all clean and up to date bar tonights dinner ones which OH might put in the DW later if I as nicely

    DD2 cleared from front room

Tomorrow Tiddles and I are sorting that pit of a room and Mimi and Moomin have their room to sort as the boiler is being serviced after lunch.

I need a Tesco run tomorrow too.

Credit card is being paid off tomorrow and I AM having my kitchen tiles.. I shall speak to my uncle about teaching OH to tile once I have bought them.. it is a valuable skill he may need in the future..

I have also found the almost finished roman blind I made for the loo which I might get finished.. seeing as I want to repaint in there anyway.

I'm off on one this weekend it appears!!

    I sew up with wool.

It's been great getting these bits done.. the blinds I have had for 2 years!!! The curtains, 3 years, I did one while pg with Dot for DD2 when she moved into the room and now it has DD3 and 4 in there I finally got it up.. I am really pleased.

I even got hooks in on the doors for the tiebacks I bought 5 years ago!!! Few frogs munched I guess.

    Tomorrow..

draught brushes on the french doors and fleece linings
    boiler service
    Tesco shop
    tidy girls room
    tidy landing
    vacuum through
    wash vacuum filter..

drag boxes of fabric out of the cupboard under the stairs.

I sew up with the wool too. Made a start on the baby cardigan for a colleague's new baby grandchild. Thought pattern was the one I always knit - until I hit the knit row - then realised the pattern I usually knit was already in my knitting bag and this pattern, which was given to me by my jam mentor, is one I have never knitted...oops! Should have realised at the 'usual' cardi is on a pattern with 4 designs.

been to work - my classroom now has an alphabet frieze on the ceiling - just need help to get a,b,c and d on as they've to go over a cupboard. Have dusted too. Brought lego home - half is washed (thank you washing soda and dishwasher tablets - greasy marks all gone) - it was foul, clearly not washed for many years and myriad little sticky fingers...*shudder* and damaged bricks thrown. There is LOTS! Manky books binned *fling* - I WILL have 'attractive' resources. I had to leave earlier then anticipated as the wind blew the fence down by the building work and I was worried that some loose boards might blow into the windows. Good job we're off; playground currently unsafe.
