    Bathroom and self sparkly
    Breadmaker on
    DW run
WM run and stuff pegged out.
Two stairs Carpetted - fab little gizmo.

Lodger 2 leaves tomorrow (a day early) and an immensely likeable regular is arriving 24 hours early, so that dovetails beautifully. The chalet occupants are proving a little tricky when it comes to paying up, although they have said they will drop in tomorrow morning with the full amount. I hope they do, otherwise it will be seriously irritating.

Lamewolf, sorry about the cancelled booking. If Flyladies put their 'Dogs for Wolves' vibes to the forefront of their minds, do you think it would work again? Or is that asking too much of the universe? *dog Wolf vibes*

Flyladies, your considered opinion on something would be appreciated. A new neighbour has lent me a novel which I wanted to read, which she had already bought and read. She is highly allergic to cats, and Devil Cat stalks us as well as Mrs Dog so I am therefore concerned that the book will be contaminated when I give it back. It's a hardback that cost £20, so I definitely don't want to have to buy a replacement. Does anyone know how to decontaminate anything from a pet-friendly household? (She knows about the cat, but I'd still like to return it in a condition that doesn't upset her system.)
    Better is good enough.

Productive lunch hour, butcher visited for beef, micro picked up from n3xt and AS bits dropped off.
Checked online and the @ldi is open till 9 so can get my bits returned when I come into the city tonight.
Best go amend my list while I remember.

MrsLW don't forget every cloud has a silver lining, maybe you can get a bit more of your waistcoat knitted while you have a break?

Hope you're all warm and dry, it's truly foul outside here.

I'm grateful to people, like the flyladies, who help me in my daily life without even realising it. Where something as simple as a list to complete can help to reduce stress and bring a sense of purpose to a day, or a friendly and encouraging word can mean more than the bestower would ever know.
So thanks everyone and take care.
    Mel
I'll agree with that. I'm on my own, am unemployed and sometimes can go for days without seeing/speaking to anyone. Although I've never been officially diagnosed with depression, it would never surprise me to know that I have it. Joint 1sts on my Toots list are to get my flat and finances sorted and knowing that I can do so with encouragement from everyone on here means a lot.

    Afternoon all

Started on my wardrobe but then my sister came in and then my neighbour so 3 hours of chatting later I need to get back to work.

Honey I'd recommend hoovering the book (shut) and then if you can wipe the cove with a damp cloth. I think it is usually cat saliva on the hair which people reach to. I'm sure it will be fine. Maybe don't let the mog rub her face on the book which mine likes to do.

Hugs for all of you suffering with BDs and doggie visitor vibes for you LW

Re dog-sitting bookings: we can but hope.;)

Re the cat question - cat hair adversely affects me, to the extent that when we used to visit someone who had cats, we used to both have to throw all our clothes in the wash and have a bath, or I'd be sneezing and have streaming eyes for ages after; however, non-porous items that the lady in question gave us were fine - I'm talking about books, some kitchen stuff, dishes and such like, and some earrings she gave me. If your neighbour knows about the cat and is happy to lend you the book, I wouldn't worry too much - she must surely have considered this. Just my thoughts - if it was me, I'd loan you a book and not be concerned. :o

Sadly it won't work like that - I'll still have more housework than I can readily cope with. Nice thought, though.:o

  • hi folks! Have changed our bed, wrapped DD1's birthday presents for Sunday and decluttered the paid stuff for the last time until a week on Monday. Had the worst day at week known to man (or this dinnerlady at least). Nearly handed in my resignation on the way out. Thought better of it, I will not be hounded out of a job I love/am very good at by someone who doesn't know her a*** from her elbow!

Trying to decide when to go to mums. There is so much I need to do here - and half term is the time when I can book people to come without the hassle of having to take a day off! And I need to play 'furniture tetris' whilst DD2 is away at the b/f's.

So much to do - all I need to do is decide in which order I am doing it!

    Off to put tea on...
