I had a run in with pupils from the school I used to work at who now attend my old secondary school plus a number of others on the bus the other week. Their behaviour was awful, to the point of making fun of members of the public. I don't know how the bus driver coped. But when I got home I complained on Tw1tter that I was ashamed to be part of their alumni and how a new academy uniform changed nothing. A couple of days later the school messaged me apologising and telling me they'd had a word with ALL pupils about how they represent the school when they're wearing the uniform and how disappointed they were with receiving a complaint from a member of the public :rotfl::rotfl: I remember receiving such talks when I was there so things really haven't changed that much in 20 years!
Took DD to Mr A and she threw one of her "I'm going to act like a 2 year old and pout and snap and sulk because I'd rather be watching TV" strops because I dared to ask her to look at getting some new pyjama pants as hers are all too short. So I marched her to the parts that I needed to go to, then to the tills. At which point she went "But I thought we were getting sweets?":mad: Cue my blood really starting to boil (to the point I could feel tears welling up, not my usual response so she's really pushed my buttons this week!) so she was banished to her room when we got home after a silent walk home.
I took my anger/frustration out on the washing up (only some bits left that needed to be soaked), cleaning the kitchen (and DD reminded that she needs to start cleaning up after herself when she makes something to eat, including putting the stuff back in the fridge) then got on with some much needed flinging of paid stuff paperwork. Unfortunately my shredder overheated again so that's still pending, but I got a binbag full of rubbish goneThen I've spent the rest of the evening working.
I think I'm going to curl up and watch one of my programmes then head to bed. I'm hoping to be tired enough to be asleep before 1am....Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I got filthy carving pumpkins with the cubs this evening so when I got in the shower I had a good scrub. I then had a look down and saw that the drain was a little grimy around the edge. So I yanked out the cover and removed enough hair to grow a small mouse !Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0

Go girl, I am with you on this one. Question is WHERE DO THEY GO? The kids always wear two socks, they must always take two off at the same time but then only one ends up in the laundry basket so where is the other?
I refuse to wash single socks, they have to be in pairs. Every so often I tip out the dirty washing basket and unpaired socks get binned.
Well, socks aside its been a long week this week and it sounds wet out there again. Have managed to get quite a bit done by putting in a huge effort this week so just need to tackle the bedrooms now.
Off to get a shower and get ready to do the paid stuff. Have a good Friday all x0
