    Morning in

Appreciated the extra hour in bed, half the clocks changed. Mogs fed.

Need to take DS2 to work now and then hoover the kitchen floor. DH can do some of his homework today so that I know it's done.

  • Oh I need some serious motivation. We have decided to redecorate DS2s very small bedroom. Have decided on a colour scheme and bought the paint. The trouble is his bedroom is completely full of furniture and well, just general "stuff". I cant get my head around where we are going to put everything to make enough space to actually start painting the walls.

Sigh. Any suggestions ladies? I think some of it is going to have to go in our bedroom but even then our bedroom isnt huge. I need a kick up the bum to actually get started.

When we moved the wall between DS1&3's bedrooms in the summer the beds went into our room, standing on end. The CofDs stayed in the middle of the room with dust sheets over. Easy to move stuff we bunged into the loft, spare chairs went into DS2 room. Yes it was chaos but doable. Where will he sleep whilst it is going on?, DS1 was in the US so DS3 slept on his mattress on our floor for several weeks (you could only cross the room by climbing over the bed and open the wardrobe by standing on the mattress.

Opto.. I'm doing my mothers Christmas shopping .. buying for my children and everyone except my 2 sisters and stepdad!.. I am halfway through the 20 people she wants stuff for..

I still have my 3 boys and DIL to buy for and I have just tonight sorted the 3 girls after they wrote Christmas lists earlier. OH decided last night he wants my help to do the children too .. I could cry.. is it so hard to put a little thought into it? My mother suggested I apply for a job as a personal shopper once Pixie is older! Apparently I am really good at it.. funny how this is the only time this year she has bothered with me.. best be nice to piggers I want my shopping doing! ... I'm cross about it :p

wow pigpen you really do have your work cut out . i would be cross too actually id probably be mean and refuse my mum doesnt have anything to do with me either so id be very angry if she did that too me ... DP would hit the roof lol... i never buy for many ... party because i cant afford to and partly because my family and DP's family is so big that if i buy for 1 i would have to buy for the rest so it makes more sense not to buy for any of them ....
i buy for close family only and thats the way its always been ... if i have the spare cash we buy each couple/family household a tin of chocolates (aunts and cousins) but this works out too around 20 tins of sweets for both sides of the family

the people we buy for are :

    LO
baby (although not so much this year as will only be a few weeks old so baby is having a gift off us and LO to help LO understand that xmas is now about both of them and not just LO)
    DP
    DP's mum and dad
    my dad
    my brother
    brothers GF
    my grandmother
    my nan
and they all get a present off LO and baby too ...

i keep getting mental blockage (pregnancy brain) so i knew who i normally buy for but just couldn't remember last night lol

    so far i have :
my grandmas from me and DP and the kids
my dads from me and DP
DP's from me and the kids
    some chocs for DP's mum
    LO's
    baby

so i have left to get :
    my dads from the kids
    DP's parents from us
    DP's parents from the kids
    my brother from us
    my brother from the kids
my brothers GF from all of us
my nan from all of us

i think thats right... i need to get the rest as soon as possible as i can't get comfy to wrap the presents so its taking ages to get them wrapped ... and the longer i leave it the bigger i will get and the harder it will be ... its either that or wait till i've had baby and wrap them at the last minute but i can't see that working out .... or ask MIL to wrap DP's and DP can wrap the rest .... will see how i go .... its all decisions lol ....

i keep forgetting its half term this week aswell.... my brain has just gone to mush lately :o
    200 weeks £25,000.00 / £700

You may miss stuff off but you will also find extras to add.

Tomorrow I am paying off my credit card.. it hasn't a lot on it.. and I am going to the tile shop (maybe Wednesday) which is having a sale and I AM buying my tiles.. if I have to walk there myself to get them!!.. it is my Christmas present to myself.. I've almost paid off the bank loan so it won't hurt to miss a payment to catch up on the card again.

today I am going to draw on the kitchen walls where I want tiling and OH can work out the area.. it is about 6m square if I remember my former calculations correctly.

Next week when the children go back to school I want to make a start on present wrapping.. it will be done in a morning while pixie sleeps and squeak is at nursery.

    today..

    [STRIKE]measure area to be tiled[/STRIKE].
    [STRIKE]sew door curtains[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Boss OH to do the blinds.[/STRIKE]

    DD2 to vacuum
    girls to tidy middle room

Pan cupboard to be emptied and reshuffled
middle drawer to be sorted (it has slotted spoons and spatulas etc)
