I'm going to buy a ski lodge.......

Oh don't tempt me Brizzle!! We've actually heard from them today, we'll be getting paid next week along with the back pay (although I'll believe it when I see it) and it looks like the new amount will be.......exactly the same as the old amount!! It took them 8 weeks to figure that out  Although if this is the case, it's good news really as the arrangement for the top up amount still stands with the tenant so no need to reorganise anything. Fingers crossed it actually happens!!
Meal planning is in full swing, I am determined that this month will be super frugal, with a definite revision of the "need not want" stance, on food and everything else. The only thing we have planned is a wedding, but no new outfits necessary, and I'll be driving with probably an early finish as I'll have baby star with me
Other than that I am planning on watching the rest of Wimbledon - I was there this time last year, how I would love to go again
- and then probably spending the rest of the month recreating it with toddler star on our local green
Decluttering is also in full swing, I have so far sorted all the reusable nappies we no longer use to donate to a friend who I know will really appreciate them, and thrown away one that was beyond salvation  The next target is the shed......
Signature update planned for the end of this month. The last 6 months have been so tough with a lot of things thrown at us financially, so we've made hardly any headway which has been so frustrating. However, with a bit of luck after the council pay us what they owe us we should be heading in the right direction. So the dream continues. Watch this space

Feeling a bit down today. It was my (very) little brothers 16th birthday this week, and I could only afford to get him a £10 voucher. It was the voucher he wanted, but I soooooo would have loved to have spoiled him a bit. In the past I may have done, but as we are on this journey we don't spend what we don't have anymore. It's much easier to live with when this only impacts on us, but at times like this it feels a bit rubbish

Hope you get your rent this week.
Sorry you were feeling down, you got your little bro something he wanted though, so I'm sure he was very happy. Once you have cleared your debt you'll probably be able to spoil him again within reason anyway.
Hope the little stars are ok

Ah thanks guys
it's always helpful to get some perspective on here. I know that no-one really minds about presents, I think it was just one of those moments that brings things sharply into focus. But I'm feeling much more positive again now, the sun has been shining and we are making progress.
And yes!! Sooooooo many fingers crossed for the rent this week. We'll find out on Thursday.
Decluttering for today: broken yoyo binned (this sounds like a no brainer but when a 2 yr old is involved its a v delicate matter:rotfl:)
4 'comedy' shot glasses binned, random plastic bit of old toy binned. Photographs taken of some nappies to sell, I just have to work out postage costs before I advertise on a preloved site.
Jobs for tomorrow: Do CPP claim form - I MUST do this!!!
Work out postage for nappies
Phone and book house valuation.

Errrrr....... Yep
We have decided to put our house up for sale, then rent. It's quite a radical plan, but while our house is beautiful, it's a really tricky house with 2 v small kiddies. Also, we desperately want a garden. My oldest boy is such an outdoor fan, and it would be a dream to let him play out first thing in the morning and stay outside as much as possible.
We haven't much equity in our house, but what we do make we will use to pay off debts. The plan is then to completely pay off the remaining debts ASAP, and then save save save!! This way, when the perfect house does come up, we will be in a great position to go for it. (THEN once we are in our perfect house here, the focus can shift to the ski resorts of Europe.....;)) So like I said, it's quite 'out there' but it's a risk we're both keen on taking.
Nappies up for sale

It did - woohooo!!! :j:j Thank you for asking
So all up to date and the N£xt account completely cleared in full today as a result. I just have to do a bit of maths to see how much can go towards my overdraft, but that will have to be tomorrow now.
We've had a lovely day here, the sun has been blazing all day so toddler star has been splashing around in a paddling pool with his friends, just gorgeous

Wooho glad rent got paid as did the Nxxt account, well done virtual champagne toast for you (or Cava since I'm having a super scrimpy summer).
Your plans are mirroring mine in the fact that we want to sell, then rent and save for our little place in the country although there will be many trips to ski lodges in the future! Hope your house sells quickly so you can get on with the next chapter towards your dream.
