  • Just a quick pop in to say MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! :xmastree::xmassign: I hope it went well for everybody with no hangovers - financial or otherwise :o Ours was nice - but for a few reasons I wasn't too sad to be taking the decs down yesterday, which is very unlike me as I'm normally Mrs Christmas and love stringing it our for a good while.

My attentions turn now to birthdays, it's toddler stars and mine tomorrow, woohoo! So I'm off into town to pick up some helium balloons I pre-ordered (this will make his YEAR) and cake ingredients. I've also been checking out Pinterest for ideas on how to make party food more fun for kids, and some of the ideas are BRILLIANT!! So I'll be spending the evening baking and spending far too much time creating all sorts of creatures from fruit and babybels :rotfl:

Other than that today will be spent finding homes for the lovely lovely Xmas presents we received. It wasn't too overwhelming this year. I think our families are getting the idea that we don't love being overrun with toys and we value quality over quantity (does that make me sound snobby? I'm really not, honest :o) as it breaks my heart when they spend their hard earned cash on a gazillion toys that last about four seconds and are then discarded. So I tried to do some gentle guiding this year and it worked, hurrah!

Right, must jump in the shower then off into town to begin Operation Birthday. Happy Saturday everyone!!

  • :bdaycake: Happy Birthday daisy and mini star, hope you both have a lovely day.

I'm the same with presents and everyone has really cut down, I do feel a little mean but I will spend more on individual birthdays as this will hopefully feel valued rather than loads at Xmas.

    Enjoy your day!
