Ha yes cava it is then!
That's interesting to hear that your plans are similar to ours - where are you up to with it all? I'm glad to hear we aren't the only ones doing it
We have all the paperwork ready to hand into the estate agents on Monday but have asked for another week before photographs, so we can hide all the kiddies stuff in the loft etc!!
Decluttering - shoes boxed and into the loft for storage and some pregnancy magazines (from before my self imposed ban
) into recycling.
CPP form still not done..........:oDebt Oct '13 - [STRIKE]£44,076[/STRIKE] £41,578 5.7% cleared0 -
We're ages away unfortunately, only the bathroom is finished but we have just had dd window changed so is another little step forward. Some rooms aren't going to cost too much to spruce up but the biggest expenses will be the kitchen and the hall, stairs and landing as we have a second set of stairs up to the attic.
Goodness only knows when it will be done but I hope by next summer as otherwise I can see it dragging on and on, we'll just have to leave anything not quite finished.
Hope you're having a good weekend.

Thanks Castlelough!! The focus is on and off but mainly on at the mo!

Oh no Chrysalis - so are you having to get all those jobs done before you sell?? Hob yay starting, but next summer isn't really that far off and you sound determined enough to get it done by then
Life has become even more hectic here as we try to get the house ready for the all important estate agents pictures next week  I handed our signed forms in today which means we really are going ahead with this, eek!! So decluttering is in full swing. Today - 10 nappies parcelled up ready for posting as I sold them on a preloved site; several cookery supplements and recipe leaflets in recycling, more pregnancy mags in recycling and a carrier bag full of rubbish, all OUT woohoo!!!Debt Oct '13 - [STRIKE]£44,076[/STRIKE] £41,578 5.7% cleared0 -

Good luck with the house move, hope you get a quick sale

Thanks ladies!!

I haven't been on for ages and I know I can waffle a bit, so in summary this is the latest....
The house is now on the market, eek!! so we will see where this takes us, if anywhere (hopefully somewhere) and look to rent if and when the tie comes that we get an offer. It was a tad stressful getting the house all ready with the two kiddies but we got there in the end!
DH has miscalculated his finances this month so we have absolutely no money and the cc will have to take a little hit  I am, however, not too worried as it's payday next week along with his bonus payout, woohoo!! We don't know exactly how much it will be so will decide which debt we are going to throw it at when it comes
We are sweltering!! Along with the rest of the UK I know. We are loving it and have been to some paddling pool picnics at friends houses, but baby star is struggling a bit bless him
That's about the size of it. Both boys have been a bit poorly, all fine now but it's stopped me from getting on here as much. I find life is more in control when I post on here so I will be back as much as possible from now on

Good luck with the house sale, I hope it doesn't take you long to find the perfect buyer, we will do as much as we can so far bathroom finished and dd bedroom on hold whilst we put together an extra mortgage payment.
Sorry you're having to scrap through this week, I hope dh gets a good bonus for you x
Glad the boys are feeling better, it's horrible being ill in the sunny weather.
What's the rental market like round your way? We have seen some gorgeous properties that I hope will be available when we are ready to move.

Wowsers I've been off for a while!! I've probably found the last two weeks the hardest in terms of parenting since baby star was born, the sheer fatigue has set in and toddler star seems to have morphed into a teenager so it has been challenging, to say the least
To summarise
The good stuff:
Payday, hooray!! Piggybanking for Xmas and children duly done
Hubby's bonus - this was a lovely bit of extra cash, we haven't done much with it yet as we are trying to get rid of the car and it may cost us a bit. This is a priority however we can't do that till we have a free weekend and that isn't for another couple of weeks
Seeing a lovely friend get married, gorgeous!! And only a week to wait until another one
Going on my first night out since baby star arrived. It was only for pasta and only for a couple of hours due to feeding but it was fab to be out with old friends
Meeting more old friends for lunch tomorrow, paid for as a treat from bonus money. I can't wait
Our neighbours have said they want to buy our house
As there's no actual offer tho I don't want to get too excited.
Hubby is just starting a week off :T I really need this at the moment.
We are all healthy. This matters
The not so clever stuff:
Going through a bit of a tough parenting moment. Toddlers are hard.
Still a mountain of debt to tackle
So all in all I can't complain, the good stuff far outweighs the bad.
Chrysalis rental properties round here are like gold dust, the family ones come on and then are gone within a couple of days
So there's not much point in getting set on any place as it will definitely not be available if and when we sell. It's a bit of a scary thought as rentals are VERY thin on the ground. It sounds much more positive where you are though
Right, off to bed now, lunch date beckons tomorrow. Have a fab weekend everyone!

Hi daisystar, good news on hubbys bonus I hope the car doesn't eat up too much of it so you can get some more use of it.
Sorry you're having a hard time with little one, I think kids have various stages of being difficult it's not always the terrible two's, make sure you're getting some support.
Hope you have a good weekend, rainy up here but certainly not the storm forecast.
