In other words you condone theft

You are as bad as your sister and her OH.

I hope that they get reported ASAP and get what is coming to them:mad:

Personally, I don't see this behaviour as particularly immoral: he is just seeking to defend himself from a powerful company that abuses its position to exploit those who depend upon it.

However, I am confident that his magnet thing would not actually work with a modern electricity meter.

Anyway, the most helpful thing the OP could do is have a conversation about switching suppliers.

i'm trying to ask for advice and you just want to put me down and belittle me, how grown up.

thanks you the only other person here that doesn't think he should be locked up and the key thrown away. i find it a very grey area morally and ethically.

Is that your definition of "not wasting money"?

What about all the things like switching to best deals for utilities, using the cheaper shops or the market, walking instead of using the car or bus, etc?

These magic magnets that half your electric bill, where can you get them from?

No, the important question is: do they actually work?
