i know, but i thought we had progressed as a nation since cutting off an arm for a starving person stealing food.
Yes we have, but your brother is not starving, nor would he be if he put apples through as apples. As for the gas meter, put another coat on and use less gas instead of fraudulently stealing it and putting the price up for all of us.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -

OP, it's not theft (you can't steal electricity) but it is either abstraction of electricity or fraud.
You risk getting him in trouble with the authorities if you mention this to the supplier or elsewhere. Even if he does not get prosecuted or cautioned for this, he runs the risk of being blacklisted on the National Hunter database, which would impact on his ability to get insurance or anything credit based. The supplier would in all likelihood put him on a pre-payment meter, which costs more.
If they're serious about trying to reduce debt (and I'm not convinced they are, from your posts), then they need to look more carefully at all their expenditure by doing a statement of affairs. The debt free wannabee board has useful pointers.0 -
It's a 5 minute job to steal gas if you are inclined towards theft, but be prepared to get caught and then be prosecuted to cover whatever the supplier thinks you may have stolen.....and think of more interesting fake posts.0

THIS is what happens to a long term gas fraud. Uncovered last week due to constant refusals to see the meter , RPU got in and caught the guy red handed in the act of replacing his bypass rig. A payment of , and this is true, £20,000 was received to cover gas fraud dating back many years. So no matter how long people get away with it, every penny can be recouped and in this case it was.The house was a large one and obviously the owner had plenty of money to pay for his energy.0
