you find someone not having enough money to have a holiday funny. someone should give you a pride of britan award! do you also laugh at people that can afford to turn on the heating!?!?
What I found funny was the the suggestion that not having a holiday abroad is somehow an indication of money not be wasted. You said, and I quoted "they are certainly not wasting any money - have not been abroad this year at all. I have not made any comment about those that are genuinely unable to heat their home.0 -
No one would get prosecuted for this, but the will rework his bills, and Quentin what if the same was done in the insurance industry...Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I was talking to the other poster, who totally made up in their head that i was saying "a holiday does not count as a holiday unless it is abroad"0 -

To which littleboo replied:Nearly spat my drink out at that line. :rotfl:
to which you repiled:you find someone not having enough money to have a holiday funny.
You are the one that equated going abroad with having a holiday.
I've not been abroad since 1989 and my wife and kids have never been abroad. Does that mean I can try to justify dodgy goings on? :rotfl:0 -
rubbish, I just said they had not been abroad.
i said nothing like "a holiday has to be abroad"0 -

My last holiday was to Pontins Prestatyn Sands Holiday Park. Total cost £50 for 3 nights including everything for 3 people. It was a great little holiday. It's one of the better budget holidays I've had in years.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

So why add the words abroad in? It implies they've possibly had a weekend away in the UK at some point. Why not just say they haven't been away on holiday....and leave it at that.

because i consider a domestic holiday a necessity and an abroad holiday a luxury. i never said or implied "a holiday does not count unless its abroad" but others rather pathetically try to keep shoving these words in my mouth.
i was pointing out that they dont have luxurys.0
