Tesco's new security system is rubbish. I am in a similar position as the original post. I have paid my credit card bill online with no problem for many years now until 3 months ago. Now it won't recognise my computer and when I obtain a 10 minute access code it won't accept this either. I've tried logging on using a different computer but I have ended up having to phone Tescobank and wasting time getting the third degree just to get a paper statement. This months bill is now 5 days overdue and I face the daunting prospect of having to phone again before I get charged for going over the time limit. Fraudsters could be accessing my account and I wouldn't know anything about it. How is this making anything safer?0

completely agree.Tesco's new security system is rubbish.
After gaining access to my wife's account after getting a one time access code and saying I want this computer recognised when I tried to log into her account today, I got the computer not recognised message again.
It would seem that Tesco banking does not like my Windows 8.1 OS.
I have a Capital One credit card that I get 1% cash back and £10 once a year, I have just applied, on behalf of my wife, for an additional card.
She can start using that to pay for our groceries in Tesco.
I wondered why the customer in front of us at the checkout split her shopping in 2 lots.
So that she could get 2 £5 of next time she shops at Tesco.
Our shopping came to £85 and we only got £5 off next time.
I wanted to cancel the lot and put it through again in 2 lots to get the extra £5 but my wife wouldn't do it.
I'm the MSE not my wife.0
