How to get rid of pesky wesky weeds Pipster??
Me no likey.
What kind have you got -- Moooins quite right setting them on fire works a treat. You can use herbicides which long lasting action if they're a real nuisance. Sends a message with the offending weed name or (photo or description) and I'll have a think.Burning it with fire appears to be the best approach
Mr Mooo is demanding a chainsaw, I'm not convinced...
Indeed fire burning always good! As to chainsaws are you being attacked by a forest.....or giant man eating plants, why does he want to arm himself so?

I honestly have no idea! I think he wants to dust off his man pants and just get it done, but it strikes me as a little bit daft.
I'll try and remember to take pics this weekend and shove them on FB, but I don't think a chainsaw is required
In other news, got two Groupons (woo for two emails!) which gave me two £10 vouchers for M&S for £6 each. That'll be a nice foodie treat sometime or I'll use them to buy Christmas presents.0 -
Well done on the groupons.
Maybe a heavy duty strimmer or brushcutter (its like a chain saw on a stick) would be more helpful. And that's quite manly too, you can hire them....Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

a Links of London charm for one of the MIL's bracelet. The charm was only £5.99 thanks to a sale and judicious use of money off codes
Hi can I ask where you find codes for Links of London charms? My niece has a bracelet but I've never been able to afford the charms.
Thanks in advance0 -

There was a link on the Student Moneysaver facebook page the other day. I'll have a look and see if the offer is still on and PM you if it is
EDIT: This is the link but I think it's expired now. Sorry!0 -
Mahoosive pot of bolognese on the hob, waiting patiently for the Sainsbug's order to arrive just as we start eating
Thanks to Pippi for the £20 off code :money:
I'm also counting down (an hour to go!) until three hours have passed since the receipt I found in A$da was generated and I can try for an APG voucher from it. It's for £127  Even a couple of pounds would be helpful. I'm glad I decided to use the far door rather than the close-to-the-bus-stop one! I never seem to manage to womble APG-worthy vouchers, so this will be great if it comes off.0 -
Not even a penny from my APG0

He turned up just as I put on the pasta :rotfl:
I'm not that impressed to be honest. The guy said that whoever had done the order hadn't put the payment through so he had called it in, but that meant I couldn't get a receipt and they would post it out to me, so I have no idea how much the order actually cost  They also tried to replace my cheap tomatoes (8 tins for £2) with Sainsbugs-own ones (£2 for four). They must be the only supermarket that charges you the more expensive price if they don't have something in stock. That substitution was cancelled :rotfl:
Worse still, my Nectar account shows I got points for spending £65 when it should be £45, so if that £20 off voucher doesn't turn up I'll be writing a very detailed complain letter to them  I'm not sure it was worth the £20 off to be honest, but as we have enough catfood to last until next month I'm sure the cat would disagree :rotfl:0 -
Oh dear oh dear oh dear.
Walks off with head hung low. It was OK this end, but I think given the mountain of bags I had to untie and hand them firmly back, I'd not use them again either.
Here was me thinking I'd look all clever.
Lets home the voucher comes off or I'll come and bite their ankles too.
My receipt was all stapled to the paperwork.
Fingers crossed it goes OK.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Ach I'm sure it'll be fine Pippi and it's not your fault regardless.
I'm giving them until tomorrow to get my receipt to me (given that the shop is five minutes from my house I don't know why someone can't just drop round with it) and by then the transaction should appear on my credit card anyway.
I craft a good complaint letter, so even if they have overcharged me I might see a gift voucher out of the whole affair
Another birthday present in the bag this morning - a tie for Papa Mooo from (very overpriced) retailer Charles Tyrwhitt for £7 thanks to a £10 off code. £4.95 to deliver a tie, mind  If anyone wants the code, let me know by PM0
