They do but it costs about £28 for 1-6 items. You put it out the night before (they tell you to leave it out before 7am but I can't humphf a double bed (which comes apart so counts as 2 items!), mattress, and 3 + 2 seater couches down 2 flights of stairs myself at 7am) then they don't collect it that day and you get evils from the neighbours until it is goneMortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Ah, Edinburgh Council at their finest0

Still only a tiny clue about how to move the mattress, if it won't fit in my friends car I'll need to grudgingly pay the council  I've got someone calling me about taking the bed frame though. It's in reasonable nick, I just want something different
I have the appointment at Homebase tonight to see what the guy has proposed for my kitchen. To be honest, I think it's going to be more than I want to spend, but I'm hoping I'll be able to get a print/email of the plans so I can discuss with Mr Mooo as he can't make it tonight. We can also then compare that to other companies. I found some nice units at Ikea when we were there, so I'm considering those too.
It's payday tomorrow and the accounts are looking healthy - there's still £40.19 left of the food budget and £64.09 of my spending money. I'm trying to work from the 1st of the month though so those balances are to last until Wednesday, which makes the food one at least a little squeaky :rotfl:
The car has to go to the garage on Tuesday as I think one of the wheel bearings has gone awry. There's a terrible roar from the back :rotfl: Thankfully I have a car account which will have £400 in it as of tomorrow. I was hoping we could ignore it for a while, but the noise has gotten worse so better to fix it than not. It's just a pain with the MOT due in November which is yet more money
Nectar is at 9535 / £47.67 and I did another 80 point survey this morning so that should be added on tomorrow. Adpoints are worthless at the moment :rotfl:0 -

Is there anyone you know who needs stuff lifted too? You could share the cost. I just can't bear the thought of CEC getting money for nothing.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

I'm exactly the same! I'm going to have a look through the house and see what we have that I've been looking to get rid of that's too bulky for a regular uplift0 -
:j Payday!! :j
In all honesty it doesn't make a huge difference to me, because I'm budgeting from the 1st, but at least the bank accounts are looking nice! I've topped up my food budget, so have £210 there now to last me until the end of October. That should be doable, especially as the freezer is quite full. I plan to buy no meat this week to force me in to doing something with what we have in there
Tomorrow though we're being very exciting and going out for dinner. I have £30 of Pizza Express vouchers due from Tesco, so Mr Mooo will be paying for the drinks. A nice frugal meal out, and we're going to a comedy show afterwards which will be nice!
Yesterday's big spend was £34 (!) on a voucher for another meal out with my best friend. She'll pay me back half of it though. It's a poshish place in town and we've been there before with a voucher and LOVED it. The voucher is valid until January, so it might be a nice post-Christmas treat.
Speaking of the C-word, I've upped my presents budget to £75 this month, and probably future months until the blessed occasion is out of the way. Today I'm going to sort out my present lists and hopefully start plotting for the people I haven't bought for yet. ♪ ♪ 'Tis the season to be skint ♪ ♪0 -
Is it a poshish place in the High Street? If it is the one I'm thinking of (starts with M) then I love it there too! EnjoyMortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

I think I'll be paying this time though!0 -
