I rejoined WW this morning. I've been going again for a couple of weeks as I had put on a bit of weight (well, more than a bit really..) but was just paying my £5.50 weekly

I have been thinking about rejoining, too - well done for doing it! I am still about 8lbs above where I like to be, am giving myself until the end of the month to see if I have the discipline to shift it without going back on the plan. I do the online version only, so in theory I can do it without paying for the online access but we shall see :)
Mortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A

I remember white units first time around  and never again - you're spot on with the cleaning! Do you need new carcasses? If not it'd save a fair bit just having new doors/worktops?

I need the whole thing to be honest. I bought the flat ten years ago and the people who had the flat before clearly just put on new cupboards and ran for the hills :rotfl: The units are now tilting in an interesting fashion, the worktops are knackered, and behind all the cupboards are tiles from the 70s and some horrendous crumbling walls  There'll need to be a good amount of plasterting done, along with moving of pipes. It's a big job. I can't wait to get it done though ;)

    In other news:

We're pretty much halfway through the month and I have £87 left in my food budget. That's pretty much half the budget so I'm pleased with that. I need to go and buy a couple of things today I couldn't get in Aldi, but should spend under a tenner (famous last words!)

I added another £2 to my TCB account last night by doing a home insurance quote. My renewal came through at £22 per month and I don't really want to pay that. A quote with another insurer was £12 per month (!) I need to look at the cover offered and decide what I want, but I didn't realise some of my insurance cover had changed, so although I was paying for personal belongings cover outside the home it didn't cover my sodding mobile if it got lost/stolen. Not ideal given that the blooming thing is worth £500 new

I have until the end of the month to get the quotes sorted and cover arranged. I get a discount with Direct Line because we have the car insurance through them and should get up to £40 TCB as well if I get the policy, so it's time to compare other quotes I think. Fun fun fun!

I spent £12 in the end, but with half price ice lollies and some decent morning reductions, I couldn't resist :o

No Nectar surveys available this morning and the Adpoints are resetting themselves. My balance is up to 9216 points / £46.08, which is excellent news.

One of my "jobs I've been putting off but really have to get done" for this week is to go through the Christmas Drawer and match items to people, then figure out how many more I have to buy for. There's just under £100 in the Christmas account, with three more paydays till Christmas at £50 a time. The only trouble is that there's many birthdays as well including both Papa and Brother Mooo and two of my best friends

Still no meal plan for the week, but in other news:
    • Massive pot of pea and ham soup made. It's soup weather now. Bah.
    • Home insurance cancelled within time for the renewal not to go through. £240 my backside - and the "retention" people quoted £265
    • "Try me free" cat food receipt sent off. Cat food cost £3, got £3.50 cashback from an app already, the stamps to send off the receipt were free thanks to surveys so there's a £3.50 profit in the offing somewhere ;)
    • Sold some craft gubbins last night. Stamps in my wallet will do postage, so £10 made.
    • Tonight I'm taking time off the computer to watch 24 (I'm starting from the beginning and loving it again!) but tomorrow will be home insurance quotes night. The fun never stops here in Mooo Towers ;)

A bit of a meal plan:

Today: Something with leftover chicken. I'm totally uninspired...
    Wednesday: Chilli
    Thursday: Bolognese
    Friday: Gammon, egg and chips
    Saturday: Spanish chicken
Sunday: Lord knows, there's a good chance I'll be hungover :o

    I hate mealplanning..!
  • Well done on getting the meal planning done. Its bleurgh and mines mainly goes belly up but hey I try.

Sounds like you're getting pretty organised for Xmas.

Always fancied 24 but never made it. Currently watching back to back house.

Gotta love a n/s on tv licence.

:) enjoy the day hopefully its a bit brighter o'r the water suns peeking out here.
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

We really aren't using our telly much at all now. I have a TiVO box with Virgin but don't often watch what I've taped and the only thing recently that I've watched has been Bake Off in terms of things worth my TV licence.

I'd love to cancel and just have Netflix, but I'm pretty sure that when we changed our broadband we locked ourselves in for another blooming year. Shame really as we don't use the telly stuff or the phone...

In better news, ten minutes online has just saved me £92.76 a year on my home insurance  I hummed and hawed about needing accidental damage cover but decided against it - pretty much guaranteeing I'm going to paint my carpet or something :rotfl: I should also get £20.20 cashback eventually, so that was definitely worth doing.

Is it being re-run from the start somewhere or are you downloading box sets?

Pfft, I got a new carpet last month but I'm living dangerously :D

I have Netflix (another reason I should cancel the blooming TV!) and have been watching on that :)
