That might be the way to do it - I just need to find that extra money!! I put a tenner a month aside for random excursions, that could be my extra fuel fund.

I'll ponder that some more, but thanks for the input :D

I sent an email. The email address is in this thread. They generally only do it because of privacy issues - I blogged under my old username too and that became linked to my real name so I decided to start afresh.

The washing pile is cleared! :j

In other news, I started saving properly again! I'm saving £15 a month with a friend for general fun things - we like to know we have money set aside if something comes to our local theatre or something. I budgeted for £30 (the full amount, we save £15 each) so this morning also put £15 in to my ISA. It's a small amount, but every wee bit should help! I'm thinking about using the PAD method to start building up a savings habit again, will think about that one for a while.

I managed a NSD yesterday, hopefully I'll get another one in today. Only managed to earn a few Nectar points though - does anyone else really dislike the new Adpoints site??

    Morning :D

    Quick pre-work post from me.

Two NSDs in a row so far this month  although I need to get milk/bread/cake tonight at the shops (Weekly tradition dictates that you *must* watch GBBO with a nice slice of cake!)

80 points survey done this morning and a paltry 5 points on the videos. There's nothing else there!

Hope your days all go well!
  • We always have a food treat with bake off, too! Last night it was those green small almond cakey things from ikea :)

I ended up with a massive meringue from a local bakery :D Mr Mooo got a massive slice of cheesecake and was very chuffed with it. Those came from my spending money budget as cake isn't a grocery essential :rotfl:

Yesterday's spends were a little iffy:

£43.98 on a return flight to Dublin to see an internet friend :D She came to stay with me this summer, so I'm off to visit her. There's going to be about ten of us all in all, so that's going to be a fun trip. The flights were so cheap I just decided to get them while I could :j *adds another line to the budget planner* :D

£6.53 at Asda, when I only went for milk and bread. Everything else was reduced though and I got some excellent bargains by hanging round while the lady was yellow stickering things. £153 left from the budget :money:

    Afternoon all :)

£115.18 left of my grocery budget, which is just under £40 a week. Hoping I'll be able to stick to that :)

    Meal plan is currently this:

    Today: Chicken stew
    Tuesday: Gammon, egg and chips
    Wednesday: Chili
    Thursday: Probably chili again ;)
Friday: Not cooking :D Going round to a friend's house for dinner and her hubby is cooking.
    Saturday: Sweet and sour chicken
    Sunday: Roast chicken

I'm up to 9014 points / £45.07 on the old Nectar front. I keep forgetting to do Adpoints :o

My spending money for the month has dropped a lot thanks to the flights to Dublin, but I'm planning on a fairly frugal month anyway. Thankfully we got a Dine In For A Tenner last month so I have a bottle of wine to bring on Friday ;)

I've got a withdrawal of £5.80 on the way from one of my shopping apps, so I'll just add that to the grocery pot when it arrives. I'm up to £3.95 on the other one so it's nearly time for a payout there too :D
