I'm doing quite well out of the checkout smart/quidco, shopitize, and top cash back - we've had some freebies and a fair bit of cash back from their spend £5 get 50p they've been doing the last couple of weeks.

Just had a blowout shop in aldi, using 2 of the spend £45 get £5 off, I have had to play fridge, freezer & cupboard Tetris but should not need another big shop until next voucher comes round at the end of July :o:o

Didn't bother with the morrisons voucher in the end, no room in fridge or freezer and it's a special trip (about 5 miles each way in car) so for time and petrol I would spend it's not for me this time. Sometimes I have loads of other things I need to do near the morrisons, but not this week. Happy meat stocking up! :)
Mortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A

I've been and done my shopping and managed to get quite a few bits which were final reductions - reduced to 15p :j The green is what I paid, and the red is what it should have cost.

    Tesco: £1.38 / £2.50

    Morrisons #1 shop: £6.80 / £14.64 :j

    Morrisons #2 shop: £5.60 / £20.76 :j :j

A total addition to the grocery bill of £14.98 (including the three vouchers I bought for Morrison's; I'll use the last one this weekend) and goods worth £37.90 :money:

I should also get £1 back from one app for their "free milk" offer from Tesco and 50p back for each transaction in Morrisons for spending over £5. Hopefully :D

My wee brain is tired from all the maths :rotfl:

    Morning all!

My decorating is done :j :j I spent a good chunk of yesterday sorting things out and washing down furniture to get the dust out :rotfl: The new carpet comes on Wednesday and then we can get it all back to normal!

Not a lot of MSE news to report. I've spent £35 this month from my grocery budget and have enough meat to create my own animal Frankenstein-style :rotfl: I made a massive batch of bolognese last night so we'll be eating that tonight too then I'll figure out how to make space in the freezer for the rest of it.

My Nectar points are up to 7007 / £35.03 thanks to a survey I did on Friday. I've collected another 60 this week from Adpoints.

For those who missed it, here's the foreman:

I did a five minute survey this morning for another 20 Ali :D

Nowt else to report really. My money is ticking away nicely although the accounts are a little low while I get used to this reduced income. I do like my job though so that's a major improvement.

Today we're taking up the laminate flooring to get a carpet down tomorrow and then the living room will be DONE. I'm really looking forward to it!

    Morning!

The decorating is DONE and all the furniture is back in the living room. There's still carnage in other parts of the house, but we have one room that does what we want so we're trying to be positive :rotfl:

I've spent nearly £50 of my food budget, so that's looking a little squeaky, but as I'm away to visit the Family Mooo later in the month it should still stretch. I'll leave food for Mr Mooo but he will undoubtedly just live on bacon sandwiches. No major bargains to report, although I did get a lovely bag of pears reduced last night from £2 to 30p :money: The budget spreadsheet shows that I have spent £48.90 this month and got food worth £92 for that :j

Not a lot else to report really. Well, there probably is but I'm tired and running a little late! The Nectar balance is up to 7213 / £36.06 thanks to an offer in their window to get 10 points for every £1 I spend at a Sainsbury's local - and if you do six shops you get 100 point bonus every time. It cost me 30p to text and opt in, but it's only taken a couple of weeks to get my first bonus as I work beside a Local and often nip in if I forget something for dinner. Worth investigating for some of us I think!

    Happy Friday :j
