Morning all
I'm glad that some of you managed to get a hold of YNAB at a good price - I was delighted to get it for under a tenner :j I've already logged the expense on my phone
Today is payday and I've gotten more than I normally will as my tax code hasn't caught up to me yet. Not much, but I'll take it! I've done my budget for next month and all my money moving has been done. Hopefully by the end of next month I'll really be in the swing of YNAB. It's a good system, but only as good as the eejit using it :rotfl:0 -
A lazy morning here in Mooo Towers, mainly because the cat decided to sing me the song of his people at 6am  It's been hard to get going since that :rotfl:
While drinking my coffee I've taken my Adpoints total to 80 for the week and completed 180 points worth of Nectar surveys, so at least I've done something. My balance excluding that is 6657/£33.28 which is pretty good.
I'm getting the hang of budgeting with YNAB. It's a really useful tool to help you see not only where you're frittering money away, but how you can adapt and react to unexpected expenditure. I'm very impressed with it so far.
I've added more money to the food fund for the coming month. I can live on £150 a month for a while, but it's not a workable budget for those months, like this one, where you need to stock up. I have about £210 to play with and today will likely end up spending £50  On the bright side, I got sent a present by a friend this week and somehow Amazon messed up and sent me a big bag of cat litter instead (!) I contacted their customer services and received my present and got to keep the litter :money:
Anyway, must dash. I have to get myself dressed, get to the shops, then come home and have fun with DIY. Trust me, that last part was said with tongue firmly in cheek :rotfl:0 -

Hi there mooomin
Thought I would finally pop in and say hello - been reading your diary firm start to finish - wow there's some real money saving going on here! You certainly know how to pack everything in!
The jambalaya recipe you posted early on in your thread looks really tasty so I'm going to give it a try (love ricey, chickeny things!).
Thanks a bundle again for the YNAB tip- off.

So much for spending £50 - I went and got about half my stuff in Lidl and ended up spending only £35 :money:
An unplanned spend yesterday of £16.48 on a takeaway, but we'd spent all day stripping wallpaper so I felt no guilt taking it from my decorating fund and just enjoying not cooking
In excellent news, I got a deal from a local daily deals site which I paid £32 for (steak, chips, wine and coffee for two at a VERY posh place) If you get three people to buy it you get it for free - and I didI should get a refund on to my card which will then up my spending money by £32 for this month. Exciting stuff :j
