Met my husband on line through AOL in 1998. Been married 14 years this year and our eldest child is 15 this year. We would have never met otherwise.

I have always wondered when the first baby was born to a couple that met through the internet. Anyone know the answer?

I met my fiance on match.com...at least 3 of my best friends have also met their partners/fiances on there too!!!

Some friends of mine met after she berated him on Facebook (despite him being a complete stranger) for giving a mutual mate a hard time. He argued with her, somehow they made each other laugh, decided to hang out, then had a whirlwind romance and got married a year later!

Yep - met my DH on a forum 13 years ago, and we have been happily married for 9 years.:j

We started off having a laugh with each other, online, and it grew from that.

I think, perhaps because we were just mates to begin with, were not seeking a relationship, we weren't trying to impress each other, and we knew a lot about the other from the off, with no lies and no 10 year old pics coming into play!

Yes, I did. Back in 1997, it was on Compuserve, anyone remember that? It was a sort of pen-pals type forum, someone put a message headed 'Older guy', I responded, the rest is history. been happily married since 2002.
