Thomsons-booked 10 night holiday but flight not till the day after checkout

Hi All,
Can anyone offer us some advice. We're a young family and we booked a ten night stay with Thomsons, but after a bit of analysis we realised we weren't due to fly out until the day after Check-out day.
The flight is at 6.30am the following day. Which means we've got to hang around all night with our 1 year old and 4 year old. Obviously we don't want to do that.
We were sold a ten day family holiday, when in reality it's a 11 night holiday, but one without a room, which isn't family friendly at all.
Does anyone have any experience of this situation or any advice.
Thanks
Rich

With a young family, I'd call the hotel and book another night, I wouldn't bother with Thomsons.
You'll probably have to wait till nearer the date thoughChange is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -

What time can you check in on the arrival day?
What sort of time will the transfer bus get you to the accommodation on arrival day?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
As above, get an extra day booked before you go. Most hotels will offer a 'late checkout', but these are rarely later than 6pm (instead of the usual 10-12am). If nothing available, worth checking nearby hotels (or even the one where you're staying) with something like Trivago (this seems to cover hotels4u, alpharooms, thomas cook etc).0

If they aren't getting an early check-in and are expected to leave the hotel after midnight, then there should be no need for a late check out.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Did you book online?0

The main issue for us, is that we were sold a ten night family holiday with everything taken care of.
Not an eleven night holiday with one sat in a hotel lobby with tired and upset children. That wasn't in the advert at all and we feel like we've been mis-sold.
Is there anything we can do with Thomsons?0 -
From what I see, most package holidays involve checking out at either 10 am or noon at latest and then hanging around all day and half the night for a bus to take you to airport for 2am flight.
Go onto trivago or hotelscombined. Book a room for a day. Job done.Relax.
If Thomsons were giving you an extra day, they would be charging more anyway.0 -

Probably not
They do seem to be stretching it a bit with a flight @06:30 the following morning though, I've never seen that sort of scheduled gap before.
As I said earlier, speak to the hotel as soon as you can and book another night, you can then pack at leisure whilst the kids play and get some sleep.
Don't let it tarnish your holiday, just remember to double check everything next time.Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -
Can you answer the question already asked: what time day and time do you check in?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
