  • Evening all.

DAY 12 NST :j. I'm struggling a wee bit though as 4 packets of chocolate fingers in my kitchen and every single finger is shouting on me :(. I'm determined though.

I got my approved foods delivery and I am very impressed. My 1p box was a bit cool. 2 jam tarts. Out of date since March but looked okay. I binned them though as kids would not eat anything out of date and it would only have been me that was tempted. A large pack tea biscuits, 7 pkts crisps and a bottle of fizzy water. Not too bad for 1p. Been browsing the site all night and have almost another £25 worth in my basket. They send amazing deals to you but they seem to get snapped up very quickly. I need to really suss it out.

So I am now off of work ( except for cleaning job) for 16 whole days. I am ecstatic :D:j. Was getting teased today as smile was on my face from when I arrived. 3 sleeps until we head off to the sun. I am a happy MIT today.

Got call back from hospital today to tell me that I had been missed off of the surgeons list. Hopefully in for pre op assessment the week I come back and then booked in for surgery. Am scared now :o.

I was full of plans when I came in tonight and I have achieved nothing. I am shattered. So so need this time off.

Am away to watch gogglebox now xx

Well done, go put those choc fingers somewhere far away...preferably outside :rotfl:

AF box sounds interesting, but don't go spending if you don't need to. I learnt that vouchers and offers are great, but only if it's on my essentials list.

Whoop whoop, happy holidays here you come :T:T. Time to wind down and relax a bit, do what you need to but no stress. That's an order :D

Hey, just think what a bronzed goddess you'll be for the Consultant post hols. :D I bet Murcia body is looking very good with those lbs dropping off. :)

Sorry I have been MIA - life has got in the way:cool:

    Still managing NST:T

I nearly gave in yesterday, DS' girlfriend was round and I went to Iceland for dessert but the queues were massive and I would miss my bus so I popped to the newsagents and got 6 bars of chocolate - thinking we would all have 1.

I knew I was on NST but thought I had done well so would end it yesterday but when the evening came I was full from tea (butternut squash and asparagus bake and salad) that I didn't fancy the chocolate and thought I would have it today.

I have been to look at the ingredients and looking forward to a chocolate bar for breakfast but the 1 chocolate bar left (Star bar:D) contains wheat flour, barley and malt extract:mad: so I can't have it:rotfl: - why does a Star Bar need them ingredients?!?!?!

DS and his girlfriend had the Dairy Milks which I can have - I think it is all fate:rotfl:

So today we are round at FiL's - I expect I will have a chocolate bar and I will make Saturday my chocolate day (I'm not too bothered about other sweets like Love Hearts or Lollies although give me parma violets and I am in heaven:rotfl:)

    Well done everyone!!

Great new MiT on having 16days off - make sure each one is as relaxing as you can make it

    HI MIT and friends,

been so busy at work and just too tired after seeing to horses to do anything!

Couldn't you put the out of date into Tupperware (or I use takeaway containers) and then kids wouldn't know what the dates were.

If I don't 'see' you before you go - have a lovely holiday.

EEK - to surgery - I must have missed something -am assuming that the meds didn't work. Hope you are not in any pain. x
  • Afternoon folks. Work is now truly over as cleaning job done as well :D

So £32.50 earned and £50 spent in Iceland getting some treats and pizzas etc for kids whilst I am away. I doubt they will manage to eat everything in the house whilst I am away so there will be a fair old stash to get us started on frugal frugal frugal lifestyle when I come back.

LAM I am thankfully not in pain. Just a twinge every so often. I just need a large kidney stone removed

Ali I resisted buying any more from AF but it's all still in my basket for later.

EE that was fate telling you 'no chocolate EE' . I haven't had chocolate as such but have had chocolate ice cream but I had always said that I was ditching chocolate, sweets, cakes and biscuits and so far so good and I intend to keep it going as long as I can. When I am satisfied that I have broken the bad eating habit then I might join you in the Saturday only for sweet treats. It'll be a while though

So am heading off to clean up my house so I can chill out tomorrow. Am getting my nails done tomorrow and going to visit my wee aunties so I don't want to be hassled with anything else. Catch you guys later xx

  • I got 5 500ml of cider from the woman I clean for today as we were chatting about booze and what drinks we like and they hate cider. 3 appear to have slid down my throat whilst watching Radio 1's big weekend in Glasgow :-)

  • Good morning folks. Well it is a rainy, freezing cold, cloudy morning here in Bonnie Scotland. Do I care? Not a jot :D. In 24hrs I will be just about landing into glorious sunshine and I cannot wait :D. I have a few wee bits and pieces to do today but not that much so it should be a nice relaxing day.

My bag is packed and under the 10kg allowance so all is well. It's a struggle to stay within that mind you. I don't know how folks manage to go away for 2 weeks and only use 10kg. But saying that my clothes are bigger sizes so will weigh more :rotfl:.I have warned the kids that I will not be bringing gifts as I have no luggage allowance and tbh no inclination to go shopping. I'll bring some nice things back when I go away in September. I've left DD £40 emergency money but she will need to give DS £8 from that for school for 1 day. I told them to treat themselves to a carry out one night as well. I have no doubt that there will not be 1 penny left of the £40 when I get home.

Going to change my bed so it is all lovely and fresh for my return. DD has been warned that I had better not come back to a week's worth of laundry and DS has been warned to keep the house tidy. We'll see how well that one goes ;)

It'll be an early night for me tonight as I have a 5.30am pick up tomorrow. Every time I think about flying my stomach lurches but I am sure I'll be fine. Was funny yesterday as when I was out with my friend and her Mum her Mum was saying that she was sick worried about us all going away. I said why? And she was saying 'well the carry on of you all and all the drinking' I must admit I felt about 13 lol and felt I had to remind her we were 48 yrs old. She said we were still a nightmare *ashamed* pmsl. Acouple of my friends enjoy drinking a lot but I don't tbh. I will drink but I doubt it will be to excess. I'll be the sensible one
