  • Good Morning. Ali you are right. I have ordered my fresh fruit and salad box to be delivered tomorrow. I will head down to Aldi once I am dressed and pick up what I need (and no more) and I will do my utmost to not buy anything else all week. I am on leave this week so I can spend time cooking and make lovely meals.

I am going out today up to Glasgow with my friend and her husband. We are going to a Doggy Doo . It's an afternoon of country and western music with other bits and bobs thrown in. I have no clue what mind you. We are then heading down for something to eat. So a nice wee day to look forward to.

I might need to buy a new fridge !! My ice box is freezing up overly quickly. I defrosted it a couple of weeks ago and it has huge chunks of ice in it again. I will sell the freezer and put that money towards one. I want a full fridge this time with no ice box at all as it will give me more storage room.

Am heading off to get ready now as need to get 1pm train and I am going to try and get to Aldi before I go.

Doggy Doo obviously has a different meaning up there! It's what gets picked up after doglet activity here :rotfl::rotfl: Yours sounds fab.

What a pain needing to replace the fridge, a cost you could do without really. Yes, see if you can be almost cost neutral on it with selling.

Good luck in Ald! :D You can do it! :D

Brilliant with a week off, what day are we coming for dinner ;) :rotfl:

    Offski to cut grasski. Urgh!

  • Evening all. Home after another awesome day. Such good fun. That's definitely the way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Great company, great music, great food and loads of booze. I am now burst and going to live quietly for a while :rotfl:. Thank God I have this week off and I am going to chill out.

Spent £28 today and that was with my friends buying me dinner.

I spent £25 in Aldi but that bought me enough toilet rolls for all month hopefully. I only bought what was on my list so I am very pleased with myself.

I have ordered my fruit and salad boxes for tomorrow so it's all good.

Healthy eating starting tomorrow as it;s 13 weeks today until I go on holiday and I want some weight shifted.

So bed is now calling on me xx

I know the spends seem a lot and you are trying so hard but you sound a lot more upbeat. Your holiday sounded fab :) and get you having a tattoo - I am far too scared for something like that - it looks ace though :)

You have motivated me to list my cupboard of food - I seem to have tins and stuff that I don't even know where they came from as they are not something we ordinarily eat!
  • Well I got maintenance again :j:j. Bloody brilliant stuff. Just did my sums and I have almost £800 to do me this month. Wowsa!!

I am not going to go mad and start paying off big sums as when I do that things always go wrong. I am however going to make an appointment for new glasses. I really need them as I am getting to the stage where I am really struggling. I am looking at getting varifocals or contact lenses. Going on Wed 11.10 ( so I remember lol)

Going to hold fire with the fridge just now as seems okay again. I'll just defrost it regularly. I want a big fridge when I get a new kitchen so I will try and make this one limp along until then.

I am going for my pre op assessment tomorrow  so it looks like my procedure will be quite soon.

A wee day in the house today. Ironing to do and tidying round. Weather is pants so no washing today. I'm going to clear out my wardrobe as it is a built in one and it is jam packed from ceiling to floor. Absolutely ridiculous how much stuff I have in it.

I'm thinking of getting a handyman in to get some cupboards shelved. I have lots of cupboard space which is badly utilised as they have no shelves in them. I will see if anyone knows someone who will do it cheaply for me. I also want all my light fittings changed as I have loads of spotlights and they cost a fortune to replace and also to run. I'll ask my brother if he will do that for me though.

Away now to get some breakfast and get started on my chores xx

Excellent news on the maintenance ! have a lovely week off.
  • I know LAM fab news. Going to have a week of catching up with housework, lunching with friends, appointments and hopefully some chill time. Defo list the food cupboards. It's quite a shock to see how much food is in them. I'm quite ashamed to be honest :o. I have a cheek to moan that I don't have enough space. I do have enough space. I just need to stop shopping so much !! :D

Hi MIT, Glad you had a lovely holiday and loving the tattoo...

I'm a fellow food hoarder, although mine tends to be all yellow stickered fresh food that I freeze. I have 2 freezers both full... but can't resist that little yellow sticker...

I do however every 3/4 weeks unpack the freezers and list all the items and then meal plan and cross off as I go along.. I do need to ban myself from buying anymore for this month.. but hey.. a pack of sausages just jumped into my basket.. what's a girl to do.....

    Have a lovely week off.

  • Lol Puzzcat. I'm the same. I however have 29 sausages already :rotfl:. I had such a battle with myself in Aldi yesterday not to browse. I'm glad I managed though and am happy enough with my spends.

I'm going to use the list I made to keep a note of what I have used up.
