I closed that account a couple of years ago as they wanted to increase the interest rate, so I'm just paying it off now. I may call them tomorrow and see if there is any way around this as I would like a wee 9mnth interest free
Get on that blower and ask!And complain that offering you something as a loyal customer then rejecting you when you accept the offer, is very bad form. Perhaps they'll chuck £25 compensation your way on top

Well done MiT on the 5lb weight loss :T
Still going strong (well since Saturday) - it's actually getting easier the longer it goes on.
Well done everyone else who is doing NST too.0 -
Ali I will. Rach I will be over in a mo.
Well I can't believe it but I have still not had any sweets, chocolate, cakes or biccies. I am really really pleased as this is day 9 and tbh I am not missing them at all which is brilliant. Think it'll be a different story mind you when I give up the crisps !!
2 more mornings to get up and I am off for 2 whole weeks. Hallelujah. I cannot wait. I think I have everyone driven mad cos I am getting excited
Was training someone last couple of days to do my job whilst I'm off. There's nothing like leaving it to the last minute. Poor lassie has not had any time to consolidate her learning but hey ho, not my problem. I'd normally leave my phone number in these circumstances but not this time.
Was up helping my friend with decorating tonight. Papered half of a bedroom so not too bad. I am knackered now mind you.
Spent £3.20 on lunch and £16 in butchers. However I got 4lbs of mince and a nice big steak pie for that so at least 21 portions of food. I've just frozen the mince and I will make mince and chilli when I get back. I wanted to get it though as was buy 1lb get 1lb free.
Kids have furnished me with a list of foods required for next week. All very healthy...........NOT but no biccies etc on it , just pancakes. Lots of frozen chips etc lol
I phoned the hospital today and I am not even on the surgeon's list. Secretary looking into it for me but not the best service so far.

Just on checking my approved foods order and one of the items was sharwoods medium egg noodles. These normally retail @ £1.75 per pack. Morrisons have them just now at £1 and approved foods ( sell by date July 2015) were 50p per pack I bought 4 as we eat loads of stir frys. Gives me loads of pleasure checking these smashing prices5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Nice wee early stop today and came home to a lovely cheque from CPP that will more or less pay for my holiday balance
. This means when I come home from Murcia I can really start hammering down my CC. This makes me sunny
I have exceeded all my expectations with NST today. I bought sweets for the folks I sit with and didn't even open them. I also bought strawberries and grapes for a healthy option and they were delicious so spent £3.45 in HB and £4 on fruit. £252 on euros. £5 on raffle tickets and £2.99 on baked potato for lunch. So a bit of a spendy day all in all.
Kids have given me a list of what they need whilst I am away. This includes- Pizzas
- Frozen chips
- pancakes
- sugar puffs
- ricicles
- ben and jerrys ice cream
- pasta n sauce
- peas
- super noodles
- assorted treats
- cheesey pasta
- cold meat
All very healthy as you can see. Where the peas fit in I have no bloody idea. Apparently they deserve all this as I am leaving them :rotfl:. The crazy thing is that I will buy all this for them except the ice cream.
So tonight I am going to iron and tidy out under the stairs. I need to take some trousers up as well as I have wee short legs.
DD is away just now to an interview so fingers crossed she gets it. It's for a local pub. They are opening a new one and she didn't manage to get a job there but they have phoned her to go to another one about 5 miles away. This would see her through uni so I am hopeful she gets taken on. Ahh, they've snuck peas in to hoodwink you into thinking they'll be eating healthy vegetables with everything :rotfl:
Very well done on the NST, not long to go until the 2 weeks is achieved, brilliant. :T
Good luck to DD for the pub interview. Used to love working behind the bar (many moons ago - second job). Great way to have a bit of a social life whilst earning money and tips too.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Interview went well and she will find out on Tuesday if she is getting a start. She will start right away so she will be working 3 jobs until she starts uni. She does the books for her BF's Dad, works as decorator all day and then hopefully pub. She also helps my friend in emergencies with her cleaning company. Well I am now feeling guilty about the starving children in the world
. I have just thrown out 3 muller light yogurts, 6 eggs, a pineapple, 3 large baps, a whole iceberg lettuce and a large tub of fromage frais. At least £7 worth of food. Might as well have thrown away a fiver and 2 pound coins. Defo getting complete control of this when I come back
