  • Day 1 of no caffeine and I'm a wreck :rotfl:. My head is bouncing and I am so tired I fell asleep when I came in from work. This better be worth it :)

Been a spendy day today. Had to give in and buy DS a jacket as I cannot find the one I bought him anywhere. I just got him a cheap one from primark and a pair of grey trousers so £33 spent. I also bought some wool to replenish my stocks and I have an order for a pink set so I am going to get that started tonight.

Dinner was a grab what you want affair and we all had different meals. It was nice though so no complaints.

    No other news xx

  • Hi folks. Manic few days so have been MIA. Thursday was a NSD and Friday we were at a party and spent £25 including £10 for a taxi, so not too bad.

Did a double shift today in cleaning job so earned £55. No work next weekend but tbh I will be delighted to get a whole weekend off.

DS has decided to go into school this week to study. He has no need to go in but he says he just gets side tracked when he is at home so I am just going to have to give in and pay for it .

So day 4 of no caffeine. I've had 2 cups of earl grey and nothing else. Water and diluting juice only. Headache comes and goes now but things are much better. I've also kept to the healthy eating plan so I am feeling much better with myself.

I have to go in for lithotripsy (sp?). My stone will be blasted from outside. Will take about an hour and then I just need to pass the stones. Oh I cannot wait ( being sarcastic obviously) Apparently very painful but has to be done . Will probs be within a week or two as was described as being a matter of urgency. So I will be treating myself to a nice dressing gown and nightie for the duration :). Only a day patient thing but am going to milk it when I get home and sit in my goon and dressing gown for at least 2 days and let the kids run after me :rotfl: I will get many cuppas made for me and rap out orders from the couch. They will love it :rotfl:

So I am away to cook dinner then get some knitting done. Am meeting some friends for afternoon/ evening :rotfl: coffee, shopping and drinks so am looking forward to that.

I hope everyone is well xx

  • MIT comes skipping in chanting I got a new dressing gown :D

Got that, nightie, 8 prs knickers, bra, socks and tights in ASDA earlier and ALL for me :o. Lovely fluffy purpley one with a big hood. I love it :D and only £14. Whole lot came to £41 so I am happy with that. Got a few bits and pieces of shopping and spent £71 in all. Thank God I had cash in my purse or I would have been most embarrassed. I was using my ASDA card to get the cashback and I forgot my PIN no and my other cards are Bank of Scotland and Halifax which are down today.

Spent a lovely afternoon with friends. Shared a toastie and pot of tea and one friend paid for toastie and one for the tea so cost me nothing. Then had a quick soft drink in the pub and cost me £1. Bargain day :-). Not a very low calorific day unfortunately but hey we can't have everything.

Still not drank any fizzy juice and I am very very pleased at that. My caffeine intake is almost at zero except for a couple of cups of tea, I will buy some decaff when I get paid and then I can drink that freely.

Hope you have all had a good wee day xx

  • Well done with giving up on the caffiene- its a really difficult thing to do. I am going to try and get healthier this week. Not off to a great start, had a bottle of wine last night and fish and chips today!
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • My kind of healthy SBO :rotfl: Kitty I will get tbags when I get my shopping. I've had a few cuppas but in the grand scheme of things not very much. Still feeling like pooh but not sure if lack of caffeine or kidney stone so am muddling on.

Was in loo there when DD screeched MUM FIRE . I had put 2 scones in the microwave to defrost and they went on fire. DD was in kitchen and was brilliant and threw a towel over the fire. She had just come home from the pictures thankfully as I was in the wee room shouting my head off as someone had finished the loo roll and not filled it up so whole kitchen could have been up in flames. We are all coughing and every window and door is open to get rid of the smoke. Am bloody freezing :eek:Unbelievable how much smoke is created by such a small fire. Scary though

Only spent £1.85 today and that was because I stupidly left my soup lying in the kitchen. Bought a baked potato in work for lunch instead.

So am going to watch BB and chill xx No bloody choice but to chill as every window and door still open and ffffffffreezing
