Wow 3 cleans during the working week. You're nothing if not a bl**dy hard worker! You'll soon be under 10k and then the debt free date will zoom up!
I also can't believe it's a year since you were arranging your dd's 21s, including the photo booth and sweetie wagon if I remember correctly.CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420 -
Well I nearly lost my DD last night. Some idiot spiked her drink. She had gone for a very quiet drink with her friend and was only having a couple as she was due to teach today. She managed to get home but fell in the door saying Mum I think my drink has been spiked. I thought she had said I think I've been stabbed and I jumped out of bed. Realised she was in a bad way and DS and i quickly got dressed and took her to local hospital. She was thankfully very sick so managed to get the worst of it out of her system and I just thank God she did as she was terrified. None of us made work today as we were up nearly all night. Honestly these kids will be the death of me. I have no idea how parents cope when their kids get involved in stuff like this all the time. No doubt some !!!!!! thought it would be funny to do that to her as she works in the pub where it happened. Nightmare. If something positive has come out of it I think both her and DS have been scared out their wits by it so I doubt drugs will ever be an issue in this house.
Anyway V the photo booth has become quite a good earner for my brother. He gets a couple of bookings each month and the booth has more than repaid itself. DS is employed by him so he makes cash from it as well and gets to go and eye up all the talent at the parties.
Another £100 paid off CC's today. Just a small amount to get for laundry this week but then that'll be me until end of next week as shifts I am doing are paid at end of month. Exciting month for paying money off though so it's all good.

Omg, thank goodness DD is ok! Must have been a massive shock for you all. Hope you all feel better now.
You can get special tops for glasses and bottles that stop anything being put into the drink. Might be worth considering? XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Sending ((( ))) to your daughter and of course you and DS.
about 12 years ago I went clubbing with my best friend and our partners, while our partners went off to the loo we were stood chatting and holding a bucket full of bottles of beer (for our partners) and 2 men came over to chat to us. We didn't think anything of it but they had actually spiked some of the bottles of beers - I guess they were hoping we would be drinking them but we weren't. My DH drunk a bottle of beer and was off his face, he collapsed in the toilet and I had to go in and get him, we got a taxi home and he kept being sick on the way. At this point we did not realise the drink had been spiked and just assumed he had drunk too much (even though he had only had 2 beers). He was really ill for days and we just assumed it was alcohol poisoning but then later on we put 2 + 2 together and realised what had happened.
DH knew it was something worse as he has been a drinker for years and can handle his drink really well and this was just off the scale.
I just can't get my head round why anyone would do it - we never went back to that club and now I only have 1 drink at a time and always keep it with me - I won't leave the drink on the table even if I am nearby.
The world has gone crazy and I can see why less and less people chose to drink outside of the home.0 -
This regularly happens at a venue near us but it's non alcoholic drinks that are spiked. People are then followed to the carpark, relieved of keys and their car.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Its a disgusting, dangerous thing to do. She is doing okay and back at work and school. It was her birthday yesterday and she had a lovely wee day in school. The kids all sang happy birthday to her and made her cards and crowns
3rd cleaning session tomorrow and it's not been too bad. Once month is done I will have earned £1200+ this month. That's very exciting and I will be in the £10's once I pay it to CC.
Nice wee relaxing night tonight except for chasing washing from machine to machine. Not back in main job until Tuesday, Friday and Monday I have cleaning shifts but hopefully quite an easy wee weekend5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

DD is okay now. She was out last night but said she was struggling a bit. Can't have been that bad though as she is going out again tonight :rotfl:. I think she will be very wary though.
I'm taking her out for something to eat as we didn't manage to do anything at her birthday so will be nice to get a wee catchup with her.
I'm meeting up with my friends tonight so am looking forward to that. Paid off another £36 from CC. I feel as if I am flying just now and long may it continue.

Glad your daughter is none the worse for her ordeal. The same thing happened to me many years ago. I was really ill. So nothing has changed over the years regarding idiots being on the loose.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
