  • Hi folks. Received laundry money and paid £90 from CC. Another month of DFD reduced and 15% of CC paid off. On target so far to get rid of it before 0% runs out in January but not sure if workload will continue at this level during the winter. We will see. I can only say I will pay off every extra penny I earn and I can do no more.

I also have the money for the work I am due to do on Saturday but I dont want to pay that off until I do the work as I have done that before and felt as if I was working for nothing. It will be a hard shift as we have 3 houses to do so I need to feel it is worth it when I am sitting knackered on Saturday night :D

I have slept most of today and still feel tired but must say I do feel a good bit better healthwise so hopefully these new antibiotics are doing the trick and I will be like a new woman by tomorrow.

Going to make the dinner now as I am absolutely starving xx

  • I couldn't resist and paid the cleaning money of £70 off of CC. I'll not have anything else now until next week because although I will be doing laundry for client she is on holiday and will not get back until next Saturday so I'll get no money until she is back :(. I'm getting slightly obsessed :rotfl:

I am definitely on the mend. I still have some horrible symptoms and some pain but not needed painkillers today and managed to get out of my pyjamas and go down to dentist. Back in pj's now though. Made 2 banana cakes as I had 4 bananas that were overripe and I must say they are really really nice. I've made banana bread before and wasn't overly fussed but these are very nice. Would defo make them again. A couple of my pals are coming up tonight as I have been ill. One of them is having a tough time just now so I am dying to see her and have a wee chat.

So no other news from here. Spent a couple pounds in local shop on biccies and sweets ( you know your 5 a day :o) no other spends though. I can't believe that I have no uniforms to fork out for this year and also no bus fares for DS. The difference to me is incredible. I just need to get my menu planning more organised once I am fully back on my feet as I am wasting too much fresh food just now and that really annoys me.

Anyhoo I best go and get kettle on for my visitors xx

  • Honey, cut yourself some slack. No one likes food waste but you ain't superwoman and some things will slide from time to time. You're still doing a great job.

  • INOD I expect way too much of myself. You're right. I hate waste as I've seen way too many programmes on TV regarding kids and people digging in skips and bins or they would starve and I get such a massive guilty conscience when I throw stuff out. I think it has something to do with my weight issue as well. For instance me making 2 banana cakes just so I wouldn't throw out 4 bananas. Who will eat the majority of the cake? Yep that would be me :o

  • Evening folks. Beautiful sunny day here today so it was a gorgeous drive to work earlier.

Wee cleaning shift under my belt again but must say I am shattered tonight. I didn't take the laundry as I have lots coming in tomorrow and am back at hospital on Monday so don't want to take on too much.

Am so glad to be feeling better. Still a ways to go but definitely heading in the right direction. Apparently everyone has been really worried about me as it is so unlike me to lie down to anything but I really have had no choice. Not been happy about it though as I am always on the go as you know.

At the cleaning job today the home owner is fighting cancer. She is only in her 30's and has 3 young kids. This is her 3rd time fighting this disease and she was so upbeat, running about getting organised for visitors arriving and just generally putting us all to shame. She looked amazing as well and her hair. makeup and clothes looked fab albeit very casual. Whilst I was chatting to her I caught sight of the both of us in a huge mirror and I could have cried. I just looked like a fat tramp. My hair desperately needs done and I was wearing jogging trousers and a vest top. I must be at least 5 stones heavier than her as well. I'm a bit disgusted at myself to be honest although I'm not going to beat myself up about it but will need to sort myself out asap before I pile back on every pound I lost :(

So all in all a decent enough day and onwards and upwards for me xx

  • You may not be where you want to be weight wise MiT, but you aren't where you used to be either so don't lose sight of that. The heavier you was desperate to be 50lbs lighter. You've achieved lots already and you will be back on track soon.

Positive vibes for the lady of the house though. Poor girl Xx

I think you're amazing, what you fit into your time. Saving £15k and knocking 5 years off too. And DS's results, that's so brilliant, takes after his Mum.
