Aww thanks guys. I don't see myself as inspiring at all. I just see an eejit who ran up a load of debt and having to work like a dog to get her life in order. I was out yesterday with friends and we were just saying how good it would have been if we had known at 16yrs old what we know now. My life and circumstances would be very different. But no regrets and I just need to work hard to fix it and ensure it never ever happens again.
It is so cold and dreary here just now that it's actually easy to work hard. I am however not going to overdo it today as I am getting some painful symptoms again . I'll just chase washing between washers and dryers and get that out of the road. I've already cleared my personal ironing this morning so will watch telly and crochet for most of the day. Will need to do a wee bit of tidying as house is a riot but I won't be going overboard.
I am using the fact that I want an extension as y motivation. My DS told me that he didn't think I would ever do it and why would I waste my money on it when him and his sister would be moving out at some point. My explanation to him was that I wanted a laundry room and a downstairs loo and also kitchen was desperately needing done. All in all it might cost me about £25k which I will add onto my mortgage. This would bring my mortgage up to about £66k which I'm sure you will agree is not excessive. To move to a house with my needs would cost over £100k but I would much prefer to stay where I am.
So happy Sunday folks. Hope it's a nice relaxing one for you all xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Wow we are actually getting some sunshine in Scotland today. Is it sad that the foremost thought in my head is :j:j free electricity :rotfl:
I have finished off the laundry I have so the rest of the week can be spent doing some housey things. I cleared out my books last night and did the kondo thing that INOD does and got rid of at least half of the ones I had. I'm going to stick them on local facebay and see what I can get rid of. If I can get the energy up later I will start on my wardrobe as I have a ridiculous amount of clothes and really need to get it sorted out sooner rather than later.
Overpaid £140 today to CC but also paid over £100 in normal payments. I'm due £90 for laundry I have just done and a busy week ahead of me as one of my clients is going on holiday so I have all 3 of her holiday homes to sort out. I will be busy but it means I'll earn a minimum of £260 in all from that and only £50 needs paid out. This debt is going down folks and it feels so good.
Waiting on consultant calling me to et me know when I have to go and get stent removed. Hopefully very soon as pain levels are rising again. I'm trying to ignore them but once doc phones I am heading for a shower and into clean pj's and then not moving for the rest of the day except maybe doing my wardrobe later on. I'll see.
Been having a breaking bad marathon this weekend. Took a while for me to get into it but am loving it now. On season 3 so I have another 2 full series to keep me going this week.
Anyway Happy Monday folks. I caught up with a few diaries yesterday and will do the same again today. I hope you are all well5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

V the best part is that I have saved myself £15,000 in interest and that is just absolutely crazy. If I just paid minimums and let this go on until the CC's were done then I would have been at least another £15,000 in charges. I feel violated and as if I have been mugged tbh. Legal mugging. That's what CC's should be called. Jeez :mad:5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Brilliant and very motivating those figures. Overpaid £21 today from change I put into bank.
DS got his exam results today. He did really well and got an A and 2 B's so I promised him a chinese for dinner tonight. He is pretty pleased with himself and rightly so.
Back to docs tonight and on more antibiotics as still showing infection. I was slightly the drama queen when I went into docs and described myself as feeling about 3 steps from death. He did laugh. He said I have the flu on top of everything else so you can imagine how rough I feel. I have no work until Friday so I am just going to lie down to this for a couple of days and see if I can shake it off. I do need to bag up the linen though as my lounge is covered in sheets and towels. I just need to summon up some energy.
I'll be back later as am away for a wee nap x5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
