Day 1 of the rest of my life. I think every new year I say this but I really mean it this time. I'm watching the beautiful Chris Powell on TV and it is motivating me no end.

I have a huge pot of stew in the slow cooker which has mushrooms and onions in it and a dozen sausages. DS loves stewed sausages and will wolf them down. He picks out the veggies mind you .

Ended up not having to pick up DD as she went back to her BF's to stay so I was in bed for 2.30am, sleeping for 2.35 :rotfl:. Didn't get up until 11.30 .

Really miserable and wet here today. I got up and automatically flicked on the heating but I have put it off again and am sitting all cozy in my nice new furry dressing gown. Sheer luxury. It's all about the MSE from hereon in.

Hoping for my first NSD today to start off my challenge of 18 per month. I actually spend money most days but usually for DS's bus fares. So for this challenge I am not going to count that as a spend as it is an essential cost. DS leaves school in May and lots of time until then is study leave so hopefully school costs will reduce a good bit.

Have a lovely day folks whatever you are doing xx
5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
    Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
    Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
    By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.

  • 1st cycle of the year done. Still not managing more than 1 minutes but I did go faster and cover more distance which is a huge achievement for me. I did 4.5km which is nearly 3 miles so I am very happy with that. I'll try and do 5km tomorrow.

First no spend day of the year. I am in a challenge that is looking for me to have 18 this month . Tomorrow will be a spend day as I will need petrol and fresh fruit. Also need to get a couple of shirts and another pair of trousers for DS for school. Hoping not to be any more than £30 though for that. I am going to lift the money tomorrow for my petrol and grocery budget for rest of month. Also next month for my big asdaprice shop I will pre load a card so I can get a discount through my work. I need to remember to do all the little things so I can achieve the big things.

Going to do a freezer inventory and work out my menu plan for the week so I can use up the stuff I have in and don't waste anything.

I've watched 'obese a year to save my life' all day and it is so inspiring and motivating. I needed a day like today just to take stock of lots of things. I'm motivated re weight and I have also been on here a lot today reading through various different threads and I feel so so ready to do this. My mood yesterday was really flat but I am super motivated today and my mood has lifted loads. I cannot wait to start getting some of this cash im that I am waiting on so I can start making inroads. Let's do this folks :D

  • Oh no I only have 78 dinners in my freezers  and 5 loaves of bread. Being sarcastic obviously :rotfl:. That's actually ridiculous as there's probs about another 60 between fridge and cupboards. Oh well no excuse this month not to stay within my shopping budget.

Aww Puzz I hope you feel better soon. I'm just suffering from lazyitis today. I have managed a few wee bits and pieces but it has mainly been bum parked on couch all day. Going to throw in a washing and finish off dinner.

After dinner I will go through my recipes for SW and do my meal plan for the week. I will also do some more knitting as my cardigan is coming on well. I have finished the back, a sleeve and nearly one front. I could finish it in a few days if I really try.

    Laters xx

  • Haven't done the meal plan yet but have been knitting. I'm not destined to have this cardy I don't think as noticed when I picked it up that I had made a big mistake so had to rip lots out. I then cast off 8 stitches instead of 5 as my eyesight is carp and had to rip loads back for a second time . So still not finished the front. Am not going to bed until it is done.

Cleaning job in morning. This is a wee extra one so will be £30 for me when it comes through :D. Owed another £50 from this one so can pay off £80 when it comes in. Hope she hurries up and pays me.

  • Spendy day today but got a couple of bargains. £10 on fruit and veg. £9 on memory foam pillow for DS as he likes them and the one he has is disgusting. Reduced from £12 so a small saving. I got 3 packs of Christmas cards, 2 rolls of paper and 2 fancy jewellery wrapping boxes for £2.25 for the lot :D. That's me organised for next year.

Also bought petrol and am finding a good difference with the price of it going down. Was £37 to fill tank.

Been and completed the cleaning job. 2hrs work and it is like a heavy workout. I was sweating buckets and getting paid £30 for doing it. I would be the size of a pixie if I always got paid to workout :rotfl:.I'm actually desperate for it to be paid so I can pay it off of Tesco. I am so close to being rid of it I can taste it. Been looking back at it on the snowball and been paying £39 per month for £10 to come off of balance. Shocking!! When my head is buried in the sand I don't look at these things because when I do I just end up upset. I need to work in the horrible place for nearly 3 hrs to earn £39 . Soon be gone though.

I've hung up 1 load of washing and another in the machine. No other housework being done today except dinner as I am tired now. I'll make a double load of mince and freeze one ( if I can find space in a freezer )

I hope you are all well xx

  • Been sitting all day on various threads and some good reading on here. I will never keep up with all the threads I have subscribed to. I have also sat and gone through tonnes of recipes on slimming world site and I am definitely going to have a go at a few of them this week. Tomorrow I am going to make pea and ham soup :D *slurp*

  • Dawny I have 2 slow cookers on just now. One with pea and ham and one with lentil. Should take care of lunches for a good few days.

Still in my pj's as cleaning the house today so I can chill tomorrow before going back to work on Monday. Hopefully this will result in a SFD but we'll wait and see.

HM mince pie for the kids tonight and I will have HM cottage pie. I've taken chicken out to defrost and I will make slimming world chicken tikka tomorrow. I'll marinade overnight so flavours are dynamite. Everything tastes so good when you are on a diet :rotfl:.

My pal has been texting me and looks like her Dad will die today. Feel so bad for her. My other pal is the palliative care nurse looking after him ( different friend groups) so I sent her a text telling her to give my pal a big hug from me. The family of 3 who were killed in Glasgow are being buried today as well so it's a bit of a sad household today.

Rght I am now procrastinating so I best move my backside
