  • INOD that would be great but I also have DD 21st and DS 18th next year so I am very doubtful I will be doing anything for mine. Not bothered to be honest. 50 sounds very grown up

Just ordered £150 of shopping for month. Includes lots of meals, cleaning stuff and snacks for the month. Leaves me £100 from my budget for fresh foods. Need to tidy up my freezers etc before delivery so I can fit it all in.

  • Will do Verbatim. I was up at 6.45 this morning and managed 10 minutes without stopping so I know it's pathetic but I was really pleased with that.I'm going to try this week and do 2 sessions of 10 minutes per day. I will work this up to 30 minutes in one go. I'll then work on the tension as I am just at tension2 just now, but I will get time I can last up first of all. Next week I will try for 15 minutes per day. I just have no power in my legs whatsoever :o

NSD today. Did a quick tidy up of freezers tonight and found 2 packs of bacon I had put in the vegetable drawer which shows me 100 % my food shopping has gotten out of control. I also threw out 2 baby gem lettuces, 8 rolls, loaf of bread and a box of mushrooms :mad:. I get so annoyed when that happens. It only ever happens when I am not organised.

Tonight we had meatballs in onion gravy, turnip and potatoes and I am marinating chicken drummers in barbecue sauce, honey and cajun spices for tomorrow night. I'll make some savoury rice with that and some veg. I have 2 cooked chicken breasts defrosting as well and I will make some chicken noodle soup tomorrow night which will do us all for the next day. I need to make some lentil soup for the freezer as I have run out. If I take soup for lunch to work then I don't spend.

Been looking through my online shopping and considering it's £153 I didn't really think there was much in it but when I checked there are about 43 dinners and multiple lunches so should more or less get us through the month except for fruit and veg fresh each week.

I'm excited about getting paid this month as I will be making a concentrated effort to get my overdraft down, then clear tesco and then start hammering the bank of scotland card. Hopefully be making inroads to BOS card by end of Feb. I just wish CSA would get sorted out and get the money to me as that would help no end. It'll stop in the summer anyway when DS leaves school. I'll phone them tomorrow if money is still not in my account.

Very foggy and damp here today but at least no snow.

Thoroughly enjoying my knitting and have the back, a sleeve and half the front of my cardigan done. Looks really nice and will be very cosy. Also totally loving my new furry dressing gown that DD got me. I feel very cossetted in it :D.

Back at work today which was actually okay. Nice to see my workmates and get a wee catch up with them. Lots of concern for DD so I feel as if I told that story about 20 times today. Thankfully a nice happy ending. So all is well in MIT world for the time being :D. Kind of worrying :rotfl:

  • Puzz we must have been typing at same time there. My knees are pretty sore tonight so I will wait till later and see how they are before doing another 10 minutes. I have no room for a treadmill . I had one a few years ago and we couldn't move for it and I found it knackering using it. I'm going to check and see how I get my awards at slimming world for exercising as that would give me a realistic goal to aim for. Hope your bug bugs off ASAP xx

  • 2nd ten minutes completed :j. I am so pleased with myself. I know it's only 20 minutes but it is just so much effort for me to do it. I have been watching the Biggest Loser and it motivated me. I also told myself no snacks until I got it done. Wahey :j
