Thanks guys. I eventually fell over about 3am. Just been and collected DD's car with her BF and it's quite a mess. I drove it home but the smoke was belching out of it. Looks like radiator is bust as well as everything else. She is sore today and so is her BF and she feels sick but I reckon that's more down to the strong painkillers than anything else. She is already furious at the police INOD but you know what they're like. Nothing is ever their fault. She screeched at her brother last night and he has fallen out with her now. Deep joy!!
Anyway all are well and that's all that matters. Her car can be fixed.
My niece and nephew are up from Lincoln to see their Dad and are coming tonight for dinner. Thank God it's only macaroni and nothing fancier. My nephew has severe autism and loves macaroni so that's why we are having that.I'm going to hoover round and then relax the rest of the day. We are all knackered.
Cold and miserable here today but at least there's no snow. Still no money from CSA and overdrawn to the tune of £800  Again.............deep joy. Ho ho ho :rotfl:5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Blimey MiT, glad DD is ok though and hope you're recovering from the shock of it. Indeed, cars can be fixed easily in comparison to us humans and hopefully when she and car are both well again, she'll take it carefully.
ADs and alcohol aren't the best combocheaper though as don't need much to be fully all over the place :rotfl:
 Shocking about the CSA money when they've had it and just not passed it on. DS's Dad is currently 40 miles away rather than several thousand  he hadn't better come any closer :rotfl:

thanks guys. The drama continues. Horrendous accident in Glasgow and local 18yr old and her Granparents are 3 of the dead. Girl's Father works with my brother and DD knows her. Absolutely devastating. I've heard a baby and a pregnant woman and another person died as well. It is horrific. The poor driver- how will he live with this?
Arggh just bad news after bad news. One of my really good friend's Dad is dying. DD's best pals Grandad is dying. Both imminent. But I have decided. Thankfully none of this is me or mine and I am counting my blessings tonight. My nephew was working in George Square and he helped the emergency services. If my DD hadn't had her accident yesterday she would have been right there today at the ice skating. I have had so many calls and texts tonight to make sure we are all okay that it is heartwarming that so many people care about us. God bless all the affected families. My heart is sore for them.5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Thanks PLMBL for thinking of us and in reality if we hadn't had such a horrific day yesterday we may well have been up there today. Glasgow is so exciting at Christmas and it just buzzes with life and laughter. But today a beautiful young girl dead, DD was showing me her on facebook. She's just a child. Everyone is distraught. Good afternoon folks. I hope everyone is well today.
I need to heasd out and see my wee Aunty soon and then get a couple of things from shops and deliver last of my cards. I'll then go and get weighed. Should manage a loss this week as I have been good except for Saturday night.
I still haven't got my tree up . I'll get it down from loft later and DS has said he will put it up for us. DD was in the middle of homer and is away finishing that despite still being very sore. She has had to cancel her shifts in the pub as she just cannot stand for too long. Her friend has gone with her to help her out. All the kids are very subdued as they are so upset by Glasgow tragedy yesterday. We all know people who were in the square or people who were killed or injured. Can't get the poor Mum out my head. In one day she has lost her Mum, Dad and daughter. It doesn't bear thinking about but like many others it's all I can think about. Told the kids we need to gee ourselves up and get a bit festive.
Niece and nephew were here for dinner and we had a nice time. My brother and sister in law arrived as well and my best pal to see how DD was. They had to go quite quickly though as nephew gets too distressed when there are lots of people due to his autism. I did however see an improvement in him this time. He said a couple of words and also wasn't clapping his hands so much. Adorable child. Loves feeling your face and when he does it so gently it really makes you feel very special. It's like getting the biggest cuddle ever.
DS is away for lunch with his Dad. DD was invited but didn't want to go. He has given them cards though with £100 in them so they are happy with that. DD needs the cash for her fine and insurance excess. Her car was taken away today and she was given a courtesy car. Hers will not be returned until 12.01.15 . Bonnet, bumper, guard. both lights, radiator and air con unit are all needing replaced.
I'll no doubt be back later and still no CSA money :mad:5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

I hope the rest of your Xmas is calm and full of joy MIT.
Terrible tragedy for Glasgow for a second year running at Xmas. I too immediately thought of you yesterday when the news broke. I'm glad you and the children weren't nearby.

Thanks guys. We often put our tree and decorations up on Christmas eve. Usually as we are so busy it ends up being a last minute thing. We have decided this year not to bother. Both kids are badly affected by everything over the last few days and we all want to just concentrate on being together. So today DD is working, DS and I will head out for a few last minute things. I want to visit my wee Aunt in hospital but need to find out if she has been moved to the local one or if we need to go to Glasgow.I need to get flowers for my Mum and some fruit.
Just making a chocolate fudge cake for pudding tomorrow. I have a shop bought cheesecake and I will take both to my friend's house as my contribution. Obviously lots of wine and vodka as well. I will really need to watch what I am doing though or else I'll end up ill again.
Kids asked for money this year so their present bundles look absolutely pathetic. Still no CSA money so when I lift the money for the kids I will be over £1k overdrawn. If I had the money I was expecting then that would only be £400 which is much more manageable. I will get right into the money saving straight away. I am so tempted to go and buy things just to make the parcel bundles look better but I am trying really hard not to :rotfl:. Right I better stop procrastinating and get myself out of here xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
