  • Well DS has had his first driving lesson with the Stepmonster. Isn't it amazing how much they learn in one lesson. He knows more than me now and I've been driving for 25 years ;).

Had to go to ASDA and buy DS new trousers. He has gone up 2 waist sizes . Hopefully getting him the weights for his Christmas will get him interested in toning himself up. I really do worry that he is going to end up huge. Aso bought my chambord which was reduced to £6 per bottle and some yogurts. So yet again spent money I don't have. Am now organised for the weekend away though except for mixers and I will pick them up from wherever they are on offer later in the week.

DD is heading out tonight to Glasgow with her friends for a wee night out. She'll be staying there so no disturbances later on I hope.

Only 4 days to work and then off for 9 days. Really looking forward to it :D

  • Evening folks. Was working yesterday and then straight to cleaning job at night so it was a late one. Straight from work tonight to docs and as I am feeling much better I don't need to go back for a couple of months :D. She is still saying I should look elsewhere for a job as the environment I am working in is toxic. I agree but I will leave it just now until after New Year.

Slimming club tonight and lost 1.5lbs so that's 17lbs in all. I am really pleased but I will really need to buy some new trousers as mine are now falling down :D. We had a wee party in the slimming club and lots of people brought SW food they had cooked. There was a macaroni dish that was fabulous and also pakora that I will need to get the recipe for. So no dinner needed for me tonight. I did spend £6 on juice and satay sticks as my contribution. I really enjoy these kind of nights though as it gives you a chance to try the dishes and decide whether to make them or not. The ratatouille was okay as well but I doubt I would bother making that.

2 more days to work :j. I am cleaning on Friday but that's okay as after I finish I can go up to the cottages and get sorted out for my guests arriving. Weather is to be wet but no snow so hopefully everyone will get there nice and safely. I'm getting really excited about it now.

Phoned CSA today and the payment they found of mine from last week has been lost but another payment apparently has arrived yesterday. This is getting beyond a joke and they cannot tell me how much any of the payments are for. If this was a private company doing this to customers they would go bust. Absolutely disgraceful.

All in all things are fine. We're all healthy , not wealthy and sometimes not overly wise but hey we have enough and we have plans. Always have to have a plan and this month's plan is to reduce the overdarft by a fair bit but if I don't get a decent payment soon from CSA then that'll go by the wayside.

Nice wee chilled night tonight. Need to make some food as belly grumbling and the sit with my feet up and do my knitting :D

  • Hi folks. Was out for lunch today and heading out for dinner soon. I am still trying to be good .I didn't eat my roll and butter at lunch and had no pudding. So I was as good as I could be. I'll do the same tonight if I can. Had a quick look at menu and can have chicken and replace the chips with new potatoes. Meeting one of my friends who cannot manage on Saturday as she has double booked.

Watching what I'm spending mind you as still no money from CSA . Think I may need to get my MP involved again as I am getting heartily sick of it now. There is money there, it's just not coming to me.

I won a voucher for £40 in work today :D, Will see if it comes as 1 voucher or if it is split as may use it for gifts. I really need new trousers though so I will see. Over the past few weeks I have also won 2 £10 vouchers for local restaurant and £10 voucher for Boots. I used the boots one for a birthday gift and the 2 restaurant ones will be used next week to treat the kids to a wee lunch out with me. Not told them yet but they will be happy to join me.

    >>>>>>>>>> MIT dances into the room :j:j. I'm off work for 10 whole days again WAHEY :D. So happy :D. We celebrated with a roast beef dinner from the freezer :rotfl:. I'm cleaning tomorrow morning but no other plans except fun fun fun and I am so looking forward to it all.

I am going to chill tonight as I had a really short sleep the last 2 nights and I am absolutely shattered now. So a wee catch up on here and telly catch up and I will be happy as larry.

PLMBL I'll find the recipes and put them on for you. Really delicious both of them and both made by a lass who is vegetarian so will suit you. The pakora was a bit nippy hot for me but she added extra spices so I will stick to the recipe. I have a few of the cook books. I'll let you know what ones I have and if you want any recipes from them then let me know :)

Verbatim for some reason I have nothing in the next size. I seem to jump an entire size and when I get to that I have about 3 suitcases of stuff for wearing so I will keep going. A young woman who I have known since she was a wee girl died up here last week from obesity. She was so huge her calves were the size of 2 people apparently and an artery in her leg was damaged.I'm not sure of the ins and outs but basically despite nurses and doctors going in daily she bled to death due to the damage to her arteries. What a waste. Also one of the girls who used to work with us met up with us for lunch the other day and she has lost 6 stones. She is still huge though and looks terrible. Now I am nowhere near their size but both events have scared the bejesus out of me and I am double determined. I have been fat in my 20's, 30's and 40's and up a stone per year so I want to be slim in my fifties and go from there

So am kicking back and watching the apprentice and knitting................Heaven :D
