  • Thanks Puzz I will do :D. I'm excited now.

Cleaning job this morning and I am gubbed. However I have had a huge 5 hr workout and I get paid £50 for doing it :D. Smashing.

I have such a cheek going out to clean someone else's house as mine is pretty much midden like just now. I will be busy all weekend though so it will be Monday before I do anything here. I'll keep the washing ticking over and throw bleach down the loo so we don't all die but that's as much as will be happening.

I really need to get organised fro Christmas. I don't even have my tree up yet  in fact it's still in the loft.
Still some gifts to get as well but was waiting to see if CSA money was in bank.

Printing out all the stuff for the murder game tomorrow night and I am really looking forward to it. I will need to take 2 parts as someone has cancelled . Quite exciting but no doubt I will be nervous until everything starts and folks get warmed up ( ok then drunk :rotfl:). Got the printer cartridges for £5 in Curry's black Friday sale so not even been expensive to print everything out. Smashing :D

  • Thank you for the recipes and I'll give the macaroni one a go for sure. I already do the mushy pea curry, but for my recipe you add a tin of baked beans as well. You blitz the 3 tins together (beans, mushy peas and tomatoes) and then add as a sauce after you've cooked the chicken/quorn and onions & curry powder etc. It's thick like chip shop curry sauce but better.

Hope the Murder Mystery night went well Xx

  • What a weekend!!!

Murder mystery was a massive success. Everyone threw themselves into it. Costumes were brilliant and all the accents and ham acting was hilarious. My DD was the murderer. I gave out prizes and everyone had a ball. I think the hugely strong French Martinis helped things along somewhat. We then had paper lanterns to set off. Whilst trying to light them I set my t-shirt on fire and my bra was burnt as well. Not long after that I was very sick and sent to bed. Couldn't understand why I was so drunk but remembered this morning that I am on anti depressants so it was hardly surprising.

Got up and made everyone breakfast and then worried myself sick about driving home as the drink drive laws are so strict here I was terrified I was still over the limit. Thankfully got home okay.

I was just settling onto couch and I got a call to tell me DD was in a car crash and they were waiting on an ambulance for her. I almost had a heart attack. DS and I jumped in the car and drove to where the crash was. When we turned the corner the police were directing the traffic, there was a fire engine, ambulance and 2 police cars all with their lights going. I freaked . I ran out of the car and policeman shouted at me :o. Fireman wouldn't let me near the car. He grabbed me and cuddled me and I just about collapsed as I was convinced DD was dead. OMG you have no idea how terrified I was. They were actually lifting her out of the car in a neck brace and back board. All very terrifying. We then had to travel to the hospital and I cannot tell you how awful it is when you are driving and your child passes you in an ambulance with the blues going. Thank God she has just twisted her back and neck and nothing more sinister.

Got them home and picked them up a chippy for dinner. She has phoned insurance etc. Was sitting in pj's chilling when the door went. 2 traffic cops came in. They were at the accident today and he told me I nearly got hit by a car when I ran out in the road :o. Oops. They then charged DD with careless driving an dfined her £100 and 3 points. She is devastated. I am dying to say to her don't worry I'll pay it but I am not as she can be a wee bit careless and it's a lesson for her to learn the hard way unfortunately. My phone has rung all night and I have been hyper but now things have quietened the tears are flowing. I will never be so thanful again. I am exhausted and emotional and doubt I will sleep tonight. I just cannot get that sight out of my head. Horrendous end to a great weekend.

OMG I can't imagine how scared/worried etc you must have been. I just think of my DS in that situation and I go in panic mode. Thank goodness she is ok and you will be able to tell her what an idiot she was. Then tell her you are sorry but she scared the ....... out of you. I am sure they are put on this planet for the sole purpose of shortening our lives.

ETA - On the lighter side - did you get the fireman's phone number?

  • Hi There, I'm a long-time Lurker of your Thread...not sure if I've Posted or not...but I'm always reading and am full of admiration for the things that you have done and achieved... :)

I'm so sorry to hear of the Night you have had....It must have been terrifying....all you can do is have a good talk with your DD and hopefully she will be a bit more careful in the future...BUT, she is OK, she is still here....and that's the main thing....

I hope you manage to enjoy Christmas....and I'll try and join in a bit more in the future....xXx :)
  • I swear that offspring believe the cutting of the cord is the actual separation. If dd is anything like my two, give her a day and she'll be !!!!!ing about how the police over reacted. You, on the other hand, will need forever to recover so cut yourself some slack and take things easy.
