millionaire_in_training wrote: »EE thanks and the third twirl part made me laugh out loud. I'll be interested to hear how you get on with the 5:2 thing. I am in a quandary about slimming club as I grudge the money but then I think that I need to go to as I need to look after myself. No more talk of 'sorting myself out' as that just smacks of me saying I'm failing and I'm not I'm just not doing as well as I could.
Just found out as well today that a woman I know has died. She took ill on Thursday and died this morning. She has 2 young boys and is only 46. She was such a lovely woman and is friends with my cousin so I have been in her company many many times. I am stunned. Just shows you should live life to the full.
I lost 3lb this week :T
I have done 5:2 in the past and know it works, I can't remember why I stopped before. I like the not eating bit because as we have discussed before once I start eating I can't stop.
I think I would begrudge the money as well but if the healthy eating plan works it has to be worth it. Do you lose weight better if you are held accountable to the leader?
So sad about your cousin's friend - we must live life to the full every day as we never know what is around the corner.
Hope work goes ok tomorrow.0 -
PLMBL I agree, defo time for a chnage.INOD I'm 49 so she was younger than me and as you say what's the point in stressing when it could all be snuffed out in a few seconds. Pointless really. Says me who is sh*tting themseles to go into work tomorrow . I just don't want to go. I will though and I will hold my head up high and I will do the amount they want me to do and I will come home.
EE I am much better when held accountable so I am going to go for it. I will go back on Tuesday and start again. I've blackmailed the kids into walking with me so I can try and boost my weightloss a bit. DS is overweight just now as well so I am hoping he will get in to a wee habit with me.
Between both cleaning jobs I have £230 to pay off of my CC so am going to do that now and get this month's started off. Nice big chunk off of it and brings it down to £401. I am happy with that and will do my best to get rid of it before Christmas. Might not manage as cleaning work a bit thin on the ground in November but know I have another £50 for sure.
Paid for DS;s provisional licence today for his birthday. Looks like his dad's wife will be teaching him to drive so that will save me a fortune. I hope she has patience :rotfl:
Ok I;m heading off to bed to stare at the ceiling for a while. Hopefully my mind will switch off and I'll get to sleep xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
Hope your day wasn't too bad mit xx0

Well today wasn't too bad. I just quietly did my work and exceeded my expected output which I usually do when I get a full day uninterrupted. I had actually cleared what I should have by 3.30pm and added on a couple so I have a bit of a cushion for the rest of the week. I then made up an exceptions spreadsheet so I can keep what I am doing closely monitored for my own purposes. I heard from the union guy and he is more than happy to support me. He has said considering I was interviewing for new staff 1 week after this decision was made is completely inappropriate. So fingers crossed I will get the decision overturned as soon as possible. I have still decided though to apply for any jobs that come along that I fancy.
I am really going to struggle this month so I may not manage my full payments but I will try my best.Just had to pay my car tax tonight, paid DS's provisional and I am pretty sure I need 2 tyres so this month it's all about the car . DS needs a haircut and trainers as well but we'll wait until the maintenance is paid to see how much I get from that. Obviously we have Christmas fast approaching as well and I am slightly in panic mode  I'm trying to chill out about it but it's in my head now.

Good to hear you're taking a structured approach. Can I suggest you also note any times when asked to take on extras. Re Christmas I get the panic but the reality is that we tend to over shop. Do a list, record all your purchases (even the chocolate pennies) and you'll be pleasantly surprised how little additional stuff you actually need. So says me who hasn't managed to find the off switch where Christmas is concerned!Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. What about these MiT - http://www.park-promotions.co.uk/acatalog/Pom_Pom_Cashmere_Wrap.html?utm_campaign=Stocking+Fillers+under+%A33&utm_source=emailCampaign&utm_medium=email&utm_content=
I don't think anyone could knit these for under £2.99 (if they had to buy the wool, some people might have a stash)
Would these do for any females?0 -
EE those are fab. I bought 4. 2 for parcels for my wee Aunties and 1 for a dip present. Oh I seem to have ordered one too many, and it's in red, my favourite colour
.
INOD I have a wee list fone already and mostly money gifts. I have a few things for kids already but have warned them already that I will be greatly reducing things this year.
I might be getting some overtime in work soon. I am starting training on a new job this week and it has a huge backlog that they are trying to get cleared. If I manage to pick it up nice and quickly then I will hopefully manage to get some hours in. That'll pay much more than any cleaning job. I will see what happens. Fingers crossed I manage to get some.
I joined fat club again tonight. God bless my wee leader as she cut out her own coupon from womans own so I wouldn't need to pay rejoin fee. I had a chat with her about being menopausal etc etc and she said I will still lose although it may be a bit slower. I can count on her support. So there are 7 weeks until Christmas and I want at least half a stone off by then.
I blasted my target again today and didn't even break sweat. I have just about finished my appeal form and I will get that in. Again I will see what happens.
