  • EE they are stunning. I'll wait on scarves arriving and if they are as good as they look then I will order a couple of these as well xx

Better day today. Not sure if meds kicking in or if I have just settled a bit. Was in work bright and early and left at 3.30 to go to cleaning job. £20 earned and paid off of Tesco card. I have paid £1k since 27/9 off of that card. I get excited when I get in this mode. I just need to keep it up. I only owe £380 on the card now so I am still hopeful for paying it off this year.

No maintenance yet but was 9th last month before I got it so not panicking yet. Tired tonight so just a short update as need my bed ASAP :D xx

MiT - you are doing brilliantly with everything - glad you are feeling better (not sure if meds would kick in this fast but think it might be your positive attitude helping)

Hope you can clear Tesco card by year end.
  • Hi folks. What a busy few days. Friday was busy in work then took DD to airport for flight to London. Yesterday spent the day buying tyres, DS for haircut and then 6 hours in various parts of Glasgow helping DS with his advanced higher Geography project. Came home, had dinner and then went to my friend's who is having some marital problems. Today I did some ironing and washing and hen worked all afternoon at cleaning. Made dinner and sitting on my backside for half an hour before picking DD and her BF up at the airport at 10. I'm going to work tomorrow for a rest :rotfl:

Never mind at least it is another £50 earned towards CC.

I made HM chicken liev tonight and it was delish. Just stuffed the chicken with philly light with chives and wrapped it in bacon. Most enjoyable and syn free as used cheese as A choice. Along with potatoes and broccoli it was yum yum.

Not much else to tell folks. Still no maintenance but I will call tomorrow if it's still not in and see what is going on. Fingers crossed everything will be okay xx

  • Hi guys. Sorry for being missing but had computer issues again. DS has us on a server at home and everything works through that and it failed so it's taken a couple days to get back on :D

Received an extra £50 cleaning money for the week the house was trashed. Also apparently the house owners have asked for my address to send me a hamper as they are so grateful for the rescue mission we undertook when it all happened. Can't wait to see what it's like. Very kind of them to do that anyway. So another £50 paid to CC. I'll get another £30 this week so I am slowly getting there.

Still no CSA money. I phoned them the other day and I was told there was a payment there but would take days to go onto the correct system. I just discovered a call though on my phone saying I was to call the DWP so I am assuming it's them and I will call them tomorrow. I hope I'm not going to be told there's actually no payment after all as I am already in overdraft worryingly.

I've not actually spent any money except for slimming club since Saturday. Been on healthy eating plan so have taken all food into work with me. I lost 5lbs this week :j.I don't count school costs as they are essential. Going out tomorrow for a bite to eat though and have a day out on Saturday which might be a bit spendy.

Been training on my new job this week so I am brain dead but it's quite challenging and I am enjoying it so far. We'll see how it goes.
Nothing else to tell. Boring life just now xx (thankfully)

  • Congratulations on 5lbs off :j:j. You beat me, I lost 4!

Hamper sounds a lovely gesture, but rightly so. I hope int is packed full of luxurious things you love, or failing that it saves you money by being able to regift it to someone :D.

Fingers crossed on the CSA payment Xx

Thirded - that is fabulous. Well done. :T:T

Fingers crossed the maintenance money has arrived.

What a lovely bonus with the extra cleaning money and a hamper too, definitely deserved after what you had to clear up and sort out.

Hope the training is still going well too. :)

  • Hi, training going okay but defo a challenge. Good people I'm working with so that's a start. I have a meeting with my manager and the union on Friday next week so we shall see the outcome of that.

The hamper apparently is for Christmas and last year it was extremely luxurious with smoked salmon, pate's etc so I am very excited about that.

Went out for dinner last night with friends and one of them is my dear friend who has motor neurone disease, The last twice we have met up I couldn't go as one time I was sick and the other I was working so last night I got a terrible shock when I saw her. She is getting very poorly and struggling so much. I am so sad and just want to spend time with her so we will arrange something again next week and meet up again.I don't know how much longer she will be able to meet up with us but we'll keep going whilst we can.

Still no maintenance but apparently it's on it's way. I am super skint this month though . Even with the maintenance I am into my overdraft . If you remember in the summer I got solar panels and the government wer giving me a grant of £6.5k towards them. Well I didn't know I was to send the voucher off as I thought the company were doing it for me so I nearly missed my deadline. This has meant that this month I have had to fork out £73 for the backup loan and I am really peeved at this. I also had to pay out £80 for tyres, £30 for car tax, and £48 towards work needing done at my service. Still to sort out my insurance but am definitely changing companies as direct line are just ridiculous with their quote of £450. Piece of nonsense.

I hope everyone is well xx
