  • You are neither useless nor worthless and this too will pass. Your cup is half full not half empty (though admittedly right now it is half full of something nasty rather than champagne!).

    Keep plodding Xx

  • And from me. Go back in diary land and read what you said when the work issue first raised its ugly head. Hopefully you can recapture some of that fighting spirit.

  • Hi. Slightly more positive MIT today :o

Had my meeting this morning with boss and union etc and it was full on stressful but I held it together and I think we put forward a very good case. There were a few things my manager said to me and I hopefully managed to tell her how ridiculous she was being . Union guy said to her that the things she was using against me would, in other employer situations, be seen as a positive and I was being punished for doing my job too well if anything. He said it was ridiculous to suggest I needed to improve and then use me as a very trusted member of staff to interview new staff. So fingers crossed she will change it and I can get on with my life. She said she didnt feel as if she had punished me and I told her she should be aware of the effect it has had on me considering how upset I was.Anyway it's finished now. No doubt I will be on her radar for the future as she is a piece of work but I will deal with that when I need to.

Money wise, I still have no clue what I am going to do. DS has said he isn't in school 3 days next week so that saves me a fair bit. I have enough food to see us through except a couple of bits and bobs. DD is at ASDA just now getting me a couple of bits and pieces. I have finished a baby aran and hat set and I have stuck in on for sale. I am going to try and sell my fridge again and see if I get anything for that.

I bought some very cheap jewellery today in BHS. It is really nice. It will do for my friend, my DD as a stocking filler and my Christmas dip gift for my girly group. So 2 full gifts and a gorgeous stocking filler for DD for £26. I wanted one of the necklaces adn earrings for myself but will use them as a gift instead :(

DS has an interview tomorrow for a job in a shop. He is very excited about it. Fingers crossed he gets it.If he gets that and is working on a Saturday then I will do cleaning job myself and that will be an extra £30 each time. That'll definitely help me out.

So I am definitely a bit better today but still a way to go. Thanks for all the lovely and encouraging posts yesterday xx

  • Glad your feeling a bit more positive, hope you have a good weekend xx
  • INOD if she knows whats good for her she will back right off and leave me alone. This worm is for turning.

My Mojo is returning albeit slowly. I hate when I get down like that. What right has anyone got to burst my happy bubble?

I am doing what I always do when I'm down and I am spending money . Spent £26 yesterday on jewellery and spent £65 on food shopping today and in all honesty I only needed frozen chips and a bag of potatoes. :rotfl:. Both freezers, fridge and tins cupboard are groaning with food but I will bet that 1 or other child has a moan soon that 'there's nothing to eat'

DS was away for his interview today. It seemed to go quite well so fingers crossed he gets it. He will work 4 hrs on a Saturday and 4 on a Sunday. There would also be extra shifts during holiday periods and in run up to Christmas so I hope he gets it. That would mean he could afford to start getting himself some stuff rather than me having to buy him everything. I might make him give me £10 per week for a clothes fund and £10 for a university fund. We can talk about it if he gets a start.

So tonight I am going to try and catch up on here and not a lot else. I worked today and am working tomorrow so a 7 day week for me this week. Never mind. The money I earn will help towards my overdraft. Although I have spent money yesterday and today there is nothing I have bought that will not get used so I just need to chill out about it. Hope everyone is well xx

Glad you are feeling a bit chirpier.

If it makes you feel any better, I went into Mr A's for cat food today and ended up spending £40 .
