  • INOD you're scary

I will appeal as I am thrawn and I will NOT let her win. I'm just a bit bleugh about it all tonight. I've allowed her to get to me and she really doesn't deserve to be in my head that much. She's an absolute cow of a woman and has no clue how to manage. Everything is about the numbers. Well she can have her numbers from me but that's all she'll get. I saw a job I fancy today so I might apply for that and just get out once and for all x

Been having a catch up tonight - so sorry you are having tough time. I'd apply for the new job and take pleasure in handing your notice being totally honest as to why you are leaving - but don't cut your nose off to spite your face - only do it if its the job you want.

I'd been in my old job 10 years and thought I would be there forever anyway to cut a long story short I was very ill and had virtually year off with several bouts of surgery. At first work was very supportive but they changed and wanted to change my terms and conditions (against occupational health's advice)but once back in work I went in everyday - did my job -even though some days I dreaded it - but carried on looking elsewhere - eventually I saw a job - applied (at 52 I didn't think I had a hope of getting it) but I got it - handed my notice in on my terms - I'll never forget the look on bosses faces when I handed my notice in and highlighted some of the things that had gone on. I swore I would never let a job get me in that state again - I'm in the 5th year of my new job -I go in now, do my job the best I can but try and remember it is 'just' a job not my life - that sounds a tad flippant as I'd be up !!!!!! creek without my wages but remembering the home/work balance works for me.

Hopefully things will improve soon for you.

  • Thanks Milann I reckon I'm going to apply and just see if I can get out of there.

I was at docs tonight and she wanted to give me a sick line. I was telling her how I was feeling and about things that had happened in work and she was horrified. I was telling her that I was really thinking of looking elsewhere for a job and she agrees that I need to get out of there as it's making me ill. She has doubled my anti depressants and am back in 3 weeks. She has referred me to the healthy living group at the gym. I asked for this and she was delighted to do that for me. My best pal is borderline diabetic but has managed before to keep it controlled by diet and she has been referred as well. So we are going to do this together. Fifty and fabulous is the goal. We are both in June next year so we have over 6 months to get there.

I lost 2.5lbs tonight so that's 7.5lbs in 3 weeks. I'm happy enough with that. I'm quite motivated just now so I will keep going whilst I am still feeling focused. Exercise helps lift mood anyway.

So in the meantime whilst I am sorting my life out I will be taking baby steps with the money saving as I am putting way too much pressure on myself from all angles and with ex stopping paying again the whole thing is frying my brain. My plan is to try and keep all my cleaning money aside. If I NEED to use it for day to day living then c'est la vie but I will do my very best not to but I just can't cope with it all just now. I need to get settled and then I can attack the debt again.

I hope everyone is good xx

Some excellent wins with the weight loss and car insurance - well done :T:T Adding in the exercise with a friend too, will be great for mood, motivation and more lbs dropping off. Great stuff. :j

Keep pushing on with the work appeal and looking elsewhere at the same time. Hopefully it'll 'all come out in the wash' as the saying goes.

How did DS get on with his interview, did he get the job? Hope so, that would be such a good step for him and a bit of a financial relief for you too.

:rotfl: at the Dad dancing, think my DS last tried dancing when he was about 6 - it wasn't for him back then and can't see it improving. Great for a good giggle though. :D

  • evening folks. Just a quickie tonight as am just in. Was at a quiz night with my friends and we won £50 of vouchers for the restaurant we were in :D.

I will be fine workwise for a couple weeks as demon manager is off this week and I am off next so no need to see her at all. I do however have a one on one meeting booked with her for the week I come back my holiday so that'll be a jolly fun time to look forward to.

We were chatting tonight about the murder mystery night I am having and the girls are all bringing nibbles etc and we will go out for brekkie in the morning after a brisk walk to blow away the cobwebs so all is well and that'll keep the costs well down for me. I wasn't allowed to spend any money tonight either as they know horrible ex hasn't paid me yet again.

So off to bed I head. Going out tomorrow with my ill friend for a bite to eat. She has daycare in the hospice tomorrow and it's the one my Mum was in. It just gets worse and worse but hey I am nice and healthy so I will paint on a smile and have some laughs with her tomorrow night xx

  • We will INOD. As long as she doesn't end up in the same room my Mum was in then I will be fine.

My brother has found out that ex has stopped paying maintenance and he has put £200 into my account :o, I do love him muchly. I had helped him with a few money things and he got a tax rebate recently because of it so I got some of that. He is very thoughtful. I also got his wife a job cleaning with my friend so I have helped them lots so I'm not even feeling guilty about it. This is a perfect example of karma and it''s all good karma.

Heading out with friends soon. Will get updated on my friend's health and see what's happening re hospice etc. I just hope she stays fit enough to enjoy Christmas with her girls and her Granddaughter. We'll see what happens.

I bought some crackers, napkins and cheese savouries today in the pound shop for my murder mystery night. I just need booze now. I also bought Christmas bunting which I obviously really really need *rolleyes* and some family guy and spongebob socks for DS. Just sweets and a book to get for him and he's done.

I've adjusted my snowball to the minimum payments and added 79 months to my clearance date . I'm not even going to change it. I have set it at £250 per month and if I manage after Christmas to start overpayments again then it will reduce from 117 months really quickly :(. I just can't handle the pressure at the moment of trying to overpay. My overdraft is nearly hitting £1k which makes me feel a bit sick but I'll get it sorted ASAP.

Am away to get changed and head out xx
