  • Just catching up on the last few days. Yay to maintenance and the funeral going as well as these things can. Nice to hear you made good memories with your friend, and whoop whoop to 9 days off work :j. Xx

  • Whoop whoop indeed Lucky. I just hope I manage to move off my butt and actually do something :o

Patanne, thanks for that.I'll pick some of that cream up today.

EE I'm over it now but just hope that next year is a bit easier on repairs etc so I can make some inroads to the debt. I have a busy year with special birthdays but I will try and not go too mad.

Heading in to my Aunts for lunch today so that'll be nice. Then head to Morrisons to use my vouchers and get some shopping. I am going to buy vodka and wine when I am as well. I need a bottle of vodka as a gift and also one for my cocktails at the mystery night. I also need raspberry liqueur so I will see if I can pick that up as well.

Got an engineer coming out tomorrow to check on my solar panels as they still aren't working which is bloody annoying as I need to start paying for my green deal in January  and so far my bills are not going down as I was promised

Best head for a shower and get ready. Have a nice day everyone xx

  • Morries have 3 bottles of wine on for £10, ending today. Gutted as my favourite rose is part of it (normally £6.99 a bottle) but I'm skint so can't afford it. Och well, it'll be better in the long run if I don't have it!

  • I wish I had seen that about the wine before I left. I forgot to get it as I was so excited at smirnoff being £15 per litre. I bought 2 :o

Spent £122 in Morrisons but £30 on vodka and £12 on a Christmas pressie so not overly bad.I used a £5 voucher, I had a friends staff discount card and I had £1.50 in vouchers so I ended up paying £106 :D. I had DS get some other fruit and veg for me but after all the discounts I was actually less than £10 so I never got using the 2nd voucher. I should have just grabbed a couple of sweets or something but the queues were so long I got flustered

Nice wee lunch at my Aunt's and my SIL, niece, cousins wife and kids were there as well so it was great getting a wee catch up.

Engineer coming tomorrow to check out my solar panels so fingers crossed he gets them fixed for me.

A nice wee chilled evening tonight with stricty, x factor and I'm a celebrity - I know how to party :rotfl:

  • Morning folks. Been up since 7.30 and not stopped.Cleaned up and downstairs is done just needs a dust and hoover run round.Ironing is done and washing basket is empty :D. Watched Jezza Kyle and homes under the hammer whilst ironing.

Still waiting on engineer for solar panels. He better appear or the wrath of MIT will be felt.

So am away now to put ironing away and finish off downstairs. I'm then going to wash down all my bathroom tiles and get 1 room ticked off of my list :)

  • Bloody engineer not coming :mad:. Mix up in the office apparently and will now come on Wednesday afternoon. Not a happy bunny.

Nice surprise though as I reckoned I was owed £100 cleaning money and it was actually £200 so I am delighted with that. Got that today.

I have not actually did an awful lot since posting last as found a brilliant thread on OS forums. Called live on £20 a week so I have spent last night and today reading it through. Very motivating for the food budget and something I will be looking at more closely after Christmas.

DS texted me to tell me he has won a ticket for his school's Christmas dance. Smashing as that will save me having to pay for it :rotfl:. I will need to get him a suit though but slaters do them for £75 including shirt, shoes and tie so I will go for that. I'll measure him up tonight and get that ordered right away. He said he was also recognised as being a top performer in school this year so that is fab considering this time last year he had been suspended for hacking into the schools computer system :o.

I spent £20 on approved food yesterday. I've ordered a few cake mixes as they are dirt cheap from there. I am doing the puddings for Christmas day to take to my friend's house so I got 2 mixes for chocolate fudge and 6 packs cale mix so I can cheat and make cup cakes for work with minimal effort. Got a few other sauces for chicken and fajitas as they were cheap and great for store cupboard. My DS loves their cheapo noodles as well so I have stocked up on them and also lentils. So I should only hopefully need some fresh food this month. I will get the chicken. a breakfast pack, veggie box and fruit box from my delivery lass and that should see us right over Christmas time.

I have leeks and tons of potatoes in fridge so I am going to make some slimming world leek and potato soup for dinner. DS is doing a veggie day in school so that'll suit him and then cheese pizza and chips between him and DD. I will have chicken, corn on cob and potatoes.

So I have sat on here all day and it's been fab :D

  • :j:j5.5lbs off tonight at fat club. That's 13lbs in 4 weeks. I am delighted. My cleaning stint today must have been like a 'last chance workout' and dropped me another couple of pounds. I have my appointment with the live active rep tomorrow at the swimming pool so maybe that'll help as well. I don't really want to go to the gym but am hoping for an exercise plan that will include walking and swimming rather than sweating it out at the gym.

Meeting up with a friend tomorrow to go a walk and then for a coffee and hopefully at 2pm the engineer will turn up and fix my solar panels. I'm hoping that I'll manage to finish off my kitchen cupboards tomorrow as well and that'll be kitchen done. I may even get time to wash down tiles in bathroom as well. If I have time after my appointment and before I meet my friend then I will head down and see if I can get perfume for my niece for her Christmas and that'll be another gift bought.

Watching masterchef just now and I am salivating looking at these desserts. Should really turn it off :rotfl:

Wow MiT - that is flippin' fantastic on the weight lost - go you :T:T:T

Slowly turn away from Masterchef ;) :rotfl::rotfl: and have an early night - you've got a busy day tomorrow but sounds great and you'll get loads done.

I've never got on with the gym either, but walking and swimming are great all round fitness exercise. Hope it goes well. :)
