We stayed at Betws y Coed which was delightful. Even though we didn't explore the shops too much we walked around the whole area exploring the countryside which was glorious along with Snowdon of course. A great relaxing break all round.

I've come out all spotty today for some reason, very strange.

Bought a radiator on offer today out of decorating budget along with paint on offer. All for my new bedroom whenever the work starts....

What else to report, not a great deal apart from tied up a few loose ends at old job as both finish in a 2 weeks time.

Car filled up out of travel budget and food shop done out of food budget. All mean unbelievably today is NSD 2.

  • Lovely, I live about 40 mins from there on the coast x

Hope you find out what has caused the spots, a reaction to something?

All your purchases sounds good, what are you having done in the bedroom?

A complete renovation to replaster from the brick as the original plaster underneath is like dust. 2 new windows and also block up and replaster and fit a vent on the fireplace. Fit a new light fitting, paint and wallpaper and a new carpet.

Then onto the stairs and paint and new carpet and fit new lights.

Once those jobs are done 2/3 of the house is done and it's time to save up for the next room!

A lovely relaxing long weekend over with and a short week at work ahead.

A great day out yesterday walking up and down the hills on a lovely spring day.

Curtains arrived today which are a lovely bright colour and all ready to go up once the room is ready.

Weekend away booked to collect my new bike next month which I'm really looking forward to. A pure coincidence after looking today and discovering every where almost fully booked including where we usually stay then a cancellation enabled us to be offered the room instead on the dates we wanted. Result! Really looking forward to collecting my bike at long last now the car is bought and a job sorted out for at least the next year. Then we will try it out on the hills.

Bought a rather ace new holdall on offer to put all very muddy walking and biking stuff into to stop the car getting full of mud and the rest! As we all were yesterday after a very very muddy walk!

A relaxing day today and sent my boots back to the manufacturer to check under warranty after the I noticed the sole coming away a few weeks ago. No way that should be happening! So, I'm without them for a few weeks.

A good relaxing day today and all ready to go for the morning. Let's see what it brings!

A rather good day today. Met my old work colleague for a good old catch up and a coffee (she treated me, awww). Both of us doing well in our new careers and doing our houses up.

Work all ok and I'm tying up loose end before the end of next week. The end date has certainly come around quickly in both jobs.

Knuckled down to do Shred it with weights which went much better than last week when I was fighting off a cold.

Not much else to report apart from a NSD making it number 7 today

  • All sounding good and a lovely morning with your friend.

I know what you mean about the mud, my car is covered in the stuff inside and outside, plus sand, plus boots etc. A job for the weekend I think!

Tied up more loose ends today at old job and said goodbye to a colleague who is off on holiday next week when I say goodbye.

Finally got around to washing the living room curtains as I didn't get around to if last summer. Thought I'd take advantage of the lovely spring weather. One more to wash and dry and put back up tomorrow. Also washed and dried the sofa throw and cushion cover.

Arranged a carpet quote for tomorrow after work as soon I won't be off on Friday afternoons for a while, while getting a number for a plasterer to get a quote arranged for Monday. Hoping to get the work arranged for either later this month or next. Anyway maybe can get the stairs carpeted in a colour I want from a roll end which will be good. Will find out tomorrow.

Once I find out these costs I'll get the electrical work arranged and the windows quoted up then the decorating and then get the wallpaper and a light fitting and all is done!

A bid on eBay on some rock crystals that deserve to go to a new home, hoping for another sale or two over the weekend, fingers crossed.

A pleasant last day at work today with plenty of cake and tea and coffee!

2 easy handovers and all loose ends tidied up and just a short morning tomorrow to hand keys and ID badge in and all done.said my goodbyes to those I won't see tomorrow then the rest to say goodbye to then.

Happily a NSD day after I was bought a coffee and given a parking ticket with time left on it, kind people out there!

Well, I finally left the job I've done for so many years. After meeting a friend this morning we had a good catch up, went in handed keys and badge over, had a farewell chat with my manager and all done. Said goodbye and after saying goodbye to so many colleagues the emotion surprisingly overwhelmed me as I walked out with a sob! Not sure why as I wasn't sad to leave and I felt happy. I'm sure it was 2 days of goodbyes and the final day that overwhelmed somewhat.

Recovered my composure quickly on the way home thankfully as it passed quickly. The last couple of days has left me feeling quite worn out though. Better pull myself together for my leaving do from yesterday's job I left.

Onto other news, plasterer came to price up a job and told me it was too much for him on his own. Mind you better to find that out now. Another one coming tomorrow to price it up. This is getting difficult to find someone to do it. Window quote all sorted though on budget which is good news.

Still need to sort electrician and plumber and all done!

As I drew out the money for tonight I can count today as a NSD making it NSD 16
