    End of month totals

    Food £100.04 - 4p over
    Travel costs £122.55 - £2.55 over

Only £2.59 over so why on earth did I run out of money this month? No idea why I ran out a week early.

Must budget better next month starting on Friday.

  • At last, I've made a start on the interview assessment. Have written the introduction and started the references. Still a long way to go, it feels like I should be able to make some more progress over the next couple of days and see where I've got to by Sunday.

Easily a NSD today making it number 22

What a day it was at work yesterday. A bad day for all. Better today though. Coincided with me feeling super stressed about the work I have to do. Having said that feel better today about that task. Being super chocoholically hormonal certainly didn't help my state of mind yesterday.

As always, today is another day and I feel better all round today.

Food shop done, almost on budget but not quite. Car filled up with petrol. Dog walked, exercise done - made myself as I really didn't feel like it this evening. Feel better for it, even if it was quite half hearted at times.

Lots to do tomorrow including a leaving do to go to which should be good fun.

NSD toddy as all spends were allowed out of separate budgets.

  • Banking and budgets all done this morning including meter readings and monthly payment for gas and electric.

Today's jobs are get boots reheeled, price up rug cleaning, finish off last bit of shopping, draw out money for leaving do tonight, write plan for job, find an outfit to go out in for tonight.

I will not allow myself to feel stressed about the task as that will not help me at all. I will approach it calmly and break it down into manageable chunks.

If I have time I'll catch up on some housework and sweep and mop the floors and clean the bathroom.

A spend day today due to the leaving do meal spends and boots re heeling. I finish the month on 23 NSD and 27 no clothes spend days.

    Jobs done so far
Dogs stuff all bought just under budget, pleased about that!
    Boots for work reheeled
Boots I fancied to replace them for next winter tried on and didn't fit so no temptation to buy them.
    Work boots cleaned and waterproofed
    Washing nearly dry outside
    Floors swept and mopped
Money drawn out for tonight's meal out
    Outfit half sorted
Work task worked on for half an hour, another half an hour to go

Good fun last night out with friends, stuck to the budget just! Goodness knows how much the other spent who were knocking the booze back all night!

Diets gone to pot this weekend, may as well write it off and start afresh tomorrow.

Typed up everything I wrote yesterday, hoping to make more sense tomorrow when I can merge it all together, chop and change and submit.

A brief tidy up around the house today and it's onto making a bit more sense of the task before taking mr dog out for his walk and banishing fat and boosting metabolism once more while tea cooks.

An eBay sale yesterday which was also a good surprise, will post tomorrow and I listed another item today. Still deciding what else to list on there now most items have been sold its time to sort those kitchen cupboards out and declutter those. I'd say I'm over halfway there now for the decluttering, it's took 2.5 years but I had a lot to work through, well worth it though. Plus it's all going towards the loan overpayment of course.

Off the mark with a NSD to start the month which is always good.

I did a brisk longer walk with the dog, then banished fat and boosted metabolism I hope! Certainly better this time around. Shred tomorrow and we'd and banishing fat on Friday if all goes to plan.

Work stuff all ready to go tomorrow morning and it's back to the grindstone once more.

Not a bad day today and an early finish as I left my glasses at home by accident making it difficult to focus. Luckily I was out and about for most of the day so it wasn't too bad overall apart from getting snowed on 3 times and once in a heavy gale force blizzard leaving me very wet once I got to the office!

Day off Shred today required as muscles a bit achy from yesterday so I'll do another round tomorrow. Did a lot of walking today though to make amends!

Submitted that dreaded task for the interview on Wed - don't think its that great but hey at least it's in and done for now.

What else - all banking checked and all ok, budgets all gone out today and updated which is always good to see the pots build up month by month.

NSD today as only spend was on train fare as per usual and I managed not to cave into a coffee break to get out of the snow!

Shred done, very half hearted this evening though!

Rang the bank to get a balance on the long term loan and got a nice surprise as it was around £500 less than I expected. All those overpayments saved £500 in interest which is always very good news to me!

Had a couple of long overdue interesting talks about the future at work that cheered me up and made me feel much better about tomorrow.

Talking of which, time to get on with some reading for tomorrow.

NSD 3 today and no clothes spend day 3

Interview over with, went well overall apart from me messing a question up which I could kick myself about. I should have read up about it but I focused on other aspects instead.

Anyway, not to get downhearted or hold onto negativity, I went for this role to get experience including the interview to learn from the whole experience to prepare me for the future interviews.
