Also cheque arrived today from webuybooks. Transaction all went through smoothly.

I'll be sorting some CDs out to sell over the christmas break to see if they can make some sales to pay towards repaying the loan.

The book sales will be going towards the loan repayment once I pay it into the bank.

  • What a great weekend that was

Friday went very well with my family and I treated them to a lovely relaxed meal out afterwards.

Then Saturday Christmas shop all done and dusted and then a walk up to town for a Christmas coffee and a few treats. Then a couple of drinks out later that night.

Today a bargain wardrobe delivered for the spare room which is perfect once I decide where the best place is in there for it, can't quite work that out just yet.

As for NSDs, upto 18 now and 20 no clothes spend days

Cheque banked ready to go to the loan overpayment next week.

Looks like East coast rail have double charged me today meaning I'll have to call in for a refund if they agree to this.

A bit of work to get on with tomorrow before the Christmas break begins. Starting to work out some baking to get on with tomorrow and Christmas Eve. Final food shop tomorrow too to get a few more things and all is done.

Cheesecake chilling in the fridge overnight to firm up ready for tomorrow. This was made by whisking cheese and sugar, eggs and cheese then into a low oven and then cool in the oven switched off then cool at room temperature before the fridge! Looks a pretty big cake now! Hoping once it's chilled it will stay in one piece to portion up.

Also made a raised pie and hoping this sets so it can come out of its tin in one piece as this looks very wobbly. Will see how it is in the morning......

Food shop went ok, just need to go to the station tomorrow to see if they will refund the error from yesterday, their fault not mine.

As food came out of food account today is a NSD making it 19 today and no clothes spend day 22.

Tomorrow I'll be cleaning, washing, packing and chilling!

  • Pleased, the cheesecake and pie made it out of their tins in one piece, phew!

Ham is cooking away in cola, one of my favourite Christmas meals to prepare for the period, everyone loves it and it tastes great and lasts really well too.

Presents are all wrapped leaving a bit of hoovering to do later, bath the dog next before a bit of pampering for me and packing up ready to go!

    What lovely Christmas that was.

A great day with my family, then a relaxing boxing day and weekend with plenty of long dog walks to walk off some off the rich food!

Banking checks all done and overpayments, savings and bills paid. All on track.

Next thing to do is the see if any cd's are worth selling.

A quiet night in with nibbles and party food then off out on New Years Day for a walk in the hills if the snow doesn't reappear!
